It's a survival instinct to follow the tribe, or even switch tribes to the one that is most powerful at the moment, regardless of whether or not you fully agree with the tribe's practices. Last July, I started jogging. Last October, I joined a gym. I go there three days a week, spending about seven hours there a week. Two of my days are challenging, and one is normal. I have lost fifty pounds, and have experienced more benefits to this change in lifestyle than I can possibly list here. No, it wasn't easy. No, I don't always enjoy it. Yes, it hurt. A lot (at first). But I'd rather not go back to who I was before. I have many sources of motivation, one being not to wind up like my parents if I can hit sixty. I find it annoying when people come up to me and try to justify their lack of exercise without me saying anything about it. Especially women. I do agree that it is harder for women to lose weight. That's why it means more when they do. If you are severally overweight, you can at least do Darebee. Look 'em up. They are the bare minimum, aside from jogging. Do not pour sugar in soup. Your knees are bad? There are ways around that. You're missing both your legs? There's a dude who runs on his arms. Ultimately, your goal isn't to look like Sharon Stone or Arnold Schwarzenegger in their prime. It's to live healthier. To take care of yourself. Looking good is secondary, and happens on its own when you put yourself in the fire to be forged. Find a way, or find an excuse. Good luck.

Boom I'm down to 88kg (194lb), lost the weight in about six months. Best choice ever. It wasn't even hard, read up on physiology, cut out a bunch of sugar and other useless carbs, two meals a day, learned to cook quality food for myself - problem solved. I could lose a few more pounds, but then I need to actually exercise :) I feel great, and I feel fatphobic and proud!

"If a fat person is eating a healthy ballanced diet and exercising regularly, then they are healthy." If they commit to that lifestyle they will lose weight inherently and become more healthy. How do these people not understand this? The only way I could see her statement making sense is if she is referring to people who are at the beginning stages of a weight loss program but even then, they don't magically become "healthy" overnight just because they had a meal of chicken broccoli. They are however, starting down a path of becoming healthy.

Talking about "glandular problem" unrelated story, I met a girl a few years back who had glandular fever and didn't tell me, rudely gave it to me before flying back home, now I still gotta deal with the added fatigue it has added to me, fun times. Also yeah, the fatphobia mentioned via these sources are just daft, a person who wants to lose their own weight is just fair, and someone shaming others about their weight is correctly fatphobic and an arsehole for being rude, there is a fine difference between the two, it's as simple as that. I don't care past that point, it ain't worth the time, just live your life, have it so that it feels good to live in your own body, nurture yourself as best as you can, and don't see an enemy if anything that moves, we need progress and not all these steps backwards in trying to pin a certain kind of mindset to be labelled as correct when it's widely being shunned by the mass. And also, yeah, some conditions make weight loss a bit tougher, but that's when I say to just do your best and don't discourage others, you don't wanna be discouraged so don't try and ruin their day. It eventually comes down to a "is this important and should I REALLY let this affect me so much?", then carry on because probably not, unless it is your health or you're being oppressed by a corrupt government that is making your community turn into slaves.....hopefully not either. True, but that would make the narrative distill down to this: "I'm fat because I have an illness and all the haters think illness is unhealthy, and it's all their fault." Somehow, I don't get the impression that this argument works for anyone who thinks it through. It might be 'unfair' but the unfairness has been imposed by nature and nature gives zero fks. Can people be unsympathetic and callous where they shouldn't? Sure. There are people who are just mean to be mean. The vast majority of people only become mean when they encounter demands by entitled divas about the consequnces of obesity being everyone else's fault... and demanding attention and affection from people who don't feel obligated to participate in those demands for attention.

I feel like white people (at least today, in the year 2022) are more inclined to identify as "democrats" and/or "libertarian"(even though todays definition of both are so wildly opposite of what they traditionally are/were) purely because so many people have this intense feeling of needing to be accepted and agreeable. Theyre basically gaslighted into thinking that if you arent racist, or a bigot or if you respect people based on their character(instead of skin color/sexual orientation/gender etc.) then they HAVE to be a democrat/lib, since theyre led to believe that anyone who identifies as "republican" or doesnt agree with the radical(insane) hyper progressive modern lib movement is a racist and morally bankrupt piece of trash. I mean this is genuinely what people believe(most of the people shown in the video, are these types of people) and they think theyre morally superior, bastions of goodness because of this gaslighting and straight up brainwashing that has occurred on the left for some time now. We truly live in some sort of dystopian hellscape of a society, and its only getting worse.

Or maybe the food that you eat. But yea, you could try soaking your body in warm water with Epsom salt for 15-20 minutes and make sure you're properly hydrated. I do the epsom salt thing every other week on friday nights after work.

As a chubby chaser, I'll say it before and I'll say it again, the Body Positivity movement is fucking cancer. If it would've just stopped at, "it's okay if you're kinda fat, some guys/girls are into that, but take care of your health still," I'd be all for it. But it never really got anywhere close to that? For a while it was at least saying it's better to be fat than anorexic, which... I mean, it's true, up to a certain size, but now, we're being told to believe that a 400 lb hamplanet that eats nothing but fast food and potato chips is as healthy as a slim, athletic fitness junkie with a meticulous diet & exercise routine. It's absolutely insane. Plus, guys like me, who actually dare to like big girls for the bodies that they have (and, by the way, even I have my limits, and they're far shy of the aforementioned planetoid) are dragged through the dirt as "disgusting fetishists." Like, yeah, sure, I get it, there are some really creepy people out there, but, if you want people to tell you you're beautiful, you can't also go around shitting on anyone who dares to find you sexy.

I really do have to thank these ladies, though. I've been working on losing weight for the last two years, now, and every time I see their crap, it keeps me from indulging too much or skipping an exercise day. I don't want to be associated with this bullshit.

No greater incentive than looking down on those who've failed.
@MollyOKami2 жыл бұрын
@@TheWorkmonkey1 I'll never look down on people who fail; I've been there many times, even within these last two years. I _WILL_ look down on people who fail…and then, instead of trying again (or something else), "all of a sudden realize that _THEY_ aren't the problem…it's society's fault." I hate those people with a passion. They would rather "drag other people down to Hell" than look at themselves and take an honest inventory of their lives. It's not even that Skinner, "It's the children's fault" meme. They don't care about the many people who are behind them, eating up that bullshit like the many processed sugars we eat today. These people don't even believe this bullshit in the first place. They're using it as an excuse not to actually try. Yeah, I hate _THOSE_ people. If they were okay with their lives, no matter what, and were willing to accept the consequences of their choices, I'd be perfectly fine with them. I'm very libertarian on that end, but don't go blaming society because no one wants them; no one has a right to love. Even if your parents were like mine & didn't instill the best of habits, you're still responsible for your own actions after you become a legal adult. It's just another form of laziness they've added to their lives. They're not mindless animals. They can easily learn what does & doesn't work for their own bodies what combination of exercise & diet shows better results.

Remember that period of time where people mostly just minded their own business, except for that one crazy, old lady, and everyone else made fun of her to her back? Now, not only are we minding other people's business -- which is already a little weird -- we've got a significant portion of people running around *forcing* you to mind *their* business, and if you don't, then you're a "bigot" for not. It all comes down to Hedonism. These people bask in a lifestyle of senseless pleasure and comfort because self-improvement takes effort; more effort than they're willing to give. In order to convince themselves that this is the most productive way to live, they feel the need to push this lifestyle onto others, falsify facts, and shame people for embodying the traits they've failed to achieve.

I fear that my excess weight will cause me undue medical issues in the long run, and that the general trend of weight increase of the population will cause a cascading feedback loop of bad health that will cripple the entire west. The reason that is not fat phobia is that it's a completely founded and reasonable fear. If half of all deaths were kitten related you can bet your ass I would be wary of kittens.

"It's fat phobic to want to lose weight" - you know, I'm ok with this. "It's transphobic to not date trans people" - You know, I'm ok with this too. I accept I'm trans and fat phobic because of these reasons, and I say proudly: I am fat and trans phobic. I'm also racist ( I have no intention of dating anyone not of my skin color ), but such is life. -- I'm well aware of the dangers of normalizing these terms. But as these terms being normalized doesn't and won't affect me, it only affect those that are trying to normalize them, I don't feel compelled to really give a shit.

You have "preferences" and "standards". You are not any kind of "phobic" because these people said you are. Their opinion is worth less than dog shit and we do not normalize any of their terms or ideas.
@SknCommonLisper2 жыл бұрын
@@torch_fire9218 I know, that's my point. Others calling\saying you're phobic \ racist means jack-shit if your actions are neither. Therefore, embrase it instead as the people making these claims were already lost to begin with. " we do not normalize any of their terms or ideas." - Normalization of something depends on the consensus of others, rather than ourselves. What I mean is, you're not going to be able to change someones preference, by attributing negativity towards them. Being called "homophobic" for simply not wanting to date someone that's homosexual, isn't going to make someone date an homosexual, it's just going to make people attribute "homophobic" to "people that do not wish to date homosexuals", so actual homophobia gets ignored, since "everyone" is homophobic, i.e; normalization.
