“Are you still on that bloody telephone? Hurry up I need to phone your Nana” > it was our only way to connect. Now I haven’t had a landline for 6 years and don’t miss it one bit. Looking forward to Sunday! 😍

I was only allowed to use the phone after six o clock 😆 and ONLY for 5 minutes 😝

I still have a landline which my mum likes to ring me on. I also have a working GPO 746 rotary phone, telephone ☎️ ( mine is black), and I love hearing it ring.

I think kids shouldn't have a smartphone. A normal cell phone is enough to call the parents in case of an emergency. Enjoy your Saturday, Becca!💚

With the little dogs, i find they don’t slow down (minus health issues) until they are quite old. 😂Little energizer bunnies.

Looking forward to Sunday! I was in high school and college in the 70s and 80s, but still love those decades the best.

I’m glad I was born in the 80’s because I didn’t have to worry about mobile phones and the internet until I was around 15 😅

We had so much fun in the 70's. I was born in 1960 and we used to have so much fun. We were out in the orchards sitting in a tree eating pears when we got hungry then right back to playing again. Ahh 😊The good old days ! I won't be home for the live 😔but i am sure i will have fun watching it back. I love when you and Simon get together 🥰🥰Speaking of Louie and always having something to say lol 😂I have an all white cat that is 17 now and he was about as big as a fat mouse when i got him and he hardly ever shuts up lol 😂 He was so little we named him Bean. He follows me everywhere and trys to climb in my underwear when i am on the toilet lol 😹😹He drives me crazy but i love him so much. I hope you have a fun or relaxing weekend and really looking forward to hearing you and Simon talk about the 70's and 80's 🤗🤗💜💜💙💙💖💖🌞🌞

Just think if we had no internet? We’d have to restock the shops, as there would be no Amazon and reinstall all the phone boxes. We’d adjust back eventually 😂

I think you were able to be a kid longer (emotionally, societally) in the 70’s 80’s and most of the 90’s.

In general of course.

It might be weird to have such thoughts, but.....when we had the pandemic lockdowns, we had nothing but our technology to connect to people. Unless one was an emergency, you couldn't go to the doctor or travel by plane. Now, a global total tech outage ( a real total one), would be no tech, no doctors or plane travels either, and we would have nothing but our own real life selves to connect to people.... sorry, just some random musings, and I hope we have to experience neither ever (again) . (I mean because of the doctors and things that nowadays won't work without tech, like water supply and even toilets....)

It was definitely a life saver for me. A connection to the rest of the world when the physical world was closed.❤️

I work for a Multinational of Technology with the central in Palo Alto, Houston, Texas. I live in South America. We work with home office modality. The issue was with Windows + CrowdStrike Falcon, with is a cyber-security program that the main company use to control virus attacks mainly. That program had an update this morning that was sent to all users without being checked first by their IT service properly. That made that every Windows computers got blocked in their start showing a blue screen. The most feared screen in the Windows world. My colleagues in Europe and Asia were affected, more than 9000 users. Here in Argentina, other companies had the same problems. My daughter works for Accenture and they were highly affected. I was lucky, my work notebook was not affected even though it has that program installed, and it was because the update of the program was made two days ago in my notebook not today. So, only people that received the CrowdStrike update today, were affected. The Wall Street CrowdStrike shares got down very much, also the Windows ones. It was a disaster. Many "X" users that know about this matters says, it was a cyberattack from some Russian hackers that are testing their tools to attack again US elections in November. Honestly, I think they are right... it could be.
