@@geo745don single turbo will be more reliable and make more power with less boost. Twins will have little to no lag, but make more tq than power and run out of efficiency top end. Single will lag more but power will continue to build to redline.

Be ready for that windshield wiper reservoir to be melted man..!!! Mine already did. Also the A/C sensor plug an wires got melted as well as the abs ones... just a reminder of what you are going to go through. Nice video, enjoy your car bro!

I'll never understand why more guys don't re-ruote that vacuum line to the brake booster. it's so easy and really cleans up that side of the engine bay... it's an easy DIY but ECS also sells a kit for only like $40... Otherwise great video, cars coming together nicely

Looks great! Im thinking this is the only option for me to finally get rid of wastegate rattle. Im not chasing huge numbers but Ive already installed hybrids 20K miles ago and Im hearing rattle already. Its driving me crazy. It really makes me hate my car. The hybrids supposedly had upgraded wastegates pfft !!! Im told that all Twin Turbo setups will rattle eventually but I wasn't expecting it after 20k miles !!

Believe it or not single turbo setup tends to be more reliable then twins

Awesome, I'm currently doing the same thing but my problem is that the oil drain hits the v band and I can't get it to clock correctly.

I go over that issue in this video. Instead of 6 o'clock position 7 o'clock works fine and is acceptable but you will need different fittings to make that work.

Always KILLER videos!!!!! You should check out the vacuum relocation kit ESC has. Part# ES#4040572. You can make your own and just use fuel hose and the connections from the stock tube. ECS hose is molded but a fuel hose will do the job. It routs behind the intake so its out of sight. Cleans up the bay a little. I was having two issues and found both solutions from your video. Thanks for the content.

@@335iN54Enthusiast Them saying those ports on the side of the turbo arent for coolant is like the dumbest shit ive ever heard, they could have easily used the stock coolant lines to cool that turbo as well and make it last way longer

i have the same kit on my car, use to run the same turbo as well and the drain was sucha bitch. i got it at true 6oclock but had to make a custom drain. also you'll need to put some type of heat management(3/4 heat wrap for tubing) on the top side of the drain because if not it'll melt no matter wat, since its so close to the hot side no matter how u clock it. the 6266 no longer has this issue .

i ran the same hose too, itll last for a while but then youll start to see smoke and it will be that hose all melted, try to not put it on the top barb so it can get away from the hotside a bit more. i ended up upgrading to 3/4in stainless wrapped hose wrapped in dei heater tubing and now its been good

Very nice job best video I could find only thing I’m sure you’ve figured out by now is that I believe you have to keep one boost solenoid plugged in and hidden away to prevent the dme from throwing a code? Is that still the case or was that disabled through the jb4 in some way? Maybe it’s just an mhd thing I’m not sure.

Thanks. And huh? The only boost solenoid I have is a mac and I don't get any codes. The other plug I cut off its no longer needed.

Great video boss and by far best ST install guide. So im planning on running this kit on my 335, do i need to run a jb4 to actually have the mac solenoid work. If not how do i go about getting it to work properly and is there an alternative if the jb4 is needed for the mac solenoid to actually work

Dont you think it's best to leave the burbles off? I've heard it's very stressful on the components especially the turbo. Glad you got it together though, sick build.

Yes I think technically it is best to leave burbles off. Does put a little bit of strain on the turbo side.

Was the spring inside the waste gate actually 13psi bc I thought it came with a 6psi spring and 13 psi one but you are suppose to swap it in? Any input ?? Trying to assemble my own waste gate right now

At 6:21 when you do a dry mount/test fit the turbo. I can see that you are having the similar turbo as I have (looking at the turbo center housing, maybe you ball bearing with coolant cooled turbo). Do you run coolant for these coolant port at the turbo to the block?

I was told specifically by on3 these turbos don't need to be water cooled...which is weird because they do have coolant ports...

Any of u diy do it bare hands ? I find gloves hard to use lataz rips other one bulky. Pnly thing i got is small hands for tight parts. But ..man my hands look all cut up after and jusy mia for awhjle agter a few jobs

Would there be any issues to use o2 sensor where bank1 connects to the bank2 manifold? I got bank2 o2 on the bank2 manifold and bank1 o2 sensor on the bank2 manifold where the bank1 connects to it.

If the o2 is plugged into the wrong bank it's not going to run smoothly.

Should be...pull the steering rack oug of the way though. 2 bolts. Or u may not even need to move that.. try reaching your arm in there around the subframe

13psi. Which is fine and I would suggest using a mac solenoid for boost control
