Some puppy advice: You should put a limit on how much the kids are picking her up and carrying her around. It’s tempting to treat really small dogs like toys, but they are still dogs. We think that lots of cuddles will make them feel safer and loved, but too much handling will often result in a pup that becomes anxious and fearful. She needs to feel confident exploring on her own, and able to remove herself to a quiet place when needed. If she’s constantly held she can’t do this. Good luck!

I agree. I volunteer in and ER waiting room and see a lot of kids with dog bites. Because they bothered the dog when it was eating or such. If an animal wants to be in your lap that is fine but other then that petting them should be enough.

I love watching your videos and I love your family but I wish you would’ve gotten a bigger dog because it would’ve had a better chance of surviving 10 kids. You have to teach your kids not to keep pestering the dog that little dog was making circles in and being so frustrated because the little ones were chasing the dog it’s not good. The dog needs to have safe space and there is none in that whole house please consider having the older kids watch the little ones so they don’t pester the dog. Dogs usually don’t bite unless they’re put up against the corner and tormented by kids. The kids don’t mean it they just want to play with the dog but everybody needs their own space.
@goldtwiggy6308
@goldtwiggy6308 4 жыл бұрын
Totally agree, the dog looks afraid of this all noise, and trying to escape, the dog needs to have his own space, place where he can go when he is tired of noise and children, if children will chase him all day he can start being aggressive and bite to defend herself.

Nicky Mock , I agree with you. Food shopping was my favorite thing to do. If I was upset or in a bad mood, I could go food shopping and look at new items and in about 30-45 minutes, I would be feeling fine again BUT since March, it isn’t any fun any more between shortages, masks, and fear of getting sick. I’ve been making lists for my partner or daughter to pick up but we usually don’t get 1/4 of it each week ☹️

We are a family of six that recently switched to plant based due to hubby’s medical issues. One of my kids favorite meals is vegan nachos. We swap out “veggie crumbles” for the ground beef. I mix it with canned diced tomatoes, pinto beans and taco seasoning. We also use vegan “nacho cheese” and “sour cream”. They also like the Gardein brand chickenless chicken fingers. Hubby’s favorite vegan meal is tomato pie. It is a Sunny Anderson recipe I found on Pinterest that I made a few vegan swaps with some of the ingredients.

Sarah, I have 2 dogs that are same as your puppy and I was truly concerned watching how the younger children were chasing /interacting with the puppy...training a young puppy is so important for future life...think about taking time to make a plan to train the puppy instead of just throwing the puppy into the mix of a large family.

I would think that they do have a plan. They talked about this awhile back. If they ever get a pet. The day they picked the puppy up, said Belle is responsible. Training the puppy & teaching the little ones on how to interact with the puppy. Gonna take more than a few days. All we saw was maybe a 10 second clip of puppy & kids.

@@laurawilliams3875 i defo agree. Reading the comments of a FOOD HAUL you would think there would be more about food but 90% are people complaining about the way the children are with the dog. When they picked the dog up she admitted they all have much to learn about it and after just 1 week everyone expects children under the age of 5 to have learnt how to pick it up and interact with it. Many adults and older children get so excited seing a cute little dog and end up chasing and picking it up (i have a tiny dog so speaking from experience) my 7 year old still makes mistakes with ours and weve had her for a year and half now. A 10 second clip of a very young child picking up a dog after a few days cannot tell you everything about there interactions with the dog or the safety of the dog. Also i think i heard belle say not to pick the dog up

Getting a puppy can be such a wonderful experience for all, but please, please take the time to train the puppy and children together. The first 6 mos is like having a newborn in the house. The puppy is not a toy, and rules need to be established early for all, humans and pets alike. Routine in all aspects of puppy care will make it a wonderful addition to your loving family ie. Play routines, sleep routines, feeding routines, toileting, behavioural training, just like kids!

One of our favorite vegan meals that we've been eating since my daughter was tiny: saute kale (or chard or collard greens) with a bit of garlic, cook lentils, caramelize onions (just cook them until they are mushy and sweet). Then each person gets to layer these things over pasta in varying amounts to their taste. And top with soy sauce (we use gluten-free tamari). So simple and yet so yummy!

How about making a rule that only certain people are allowed to pick up the puppy...Belle, parents, Judah just to prevent injuries to the tiny puppy. Also, maybe have a set amount of time for the little girls to spend with the puppy by sitting down and learning about the puppy's needs, how fragile she is and that puppies need quiet time just like little children. The puppy might become defensive with so much picking up and chasing her at such a young age because she doesn't know what else to do and you wouldn't want the puppy to start having behavior problems. Please know this comes from a place of concern and love for your family and the puppy. :)

If I want regular milk in a 1/2 gallon my daughter brings it for my grandson..but if she forgets. I have 8 to 10 of them on my shelf in my pantry at any given time I buy a couple a month and they last like 5 years...

Chickpea pasta from my grandma(I modified it to a Crock-Pot version since I work outside of the home some days, but you can do it on the stove top for faster cooking). Olive oil, minced or whole garlic cloves, lots of chopped onion, salt and pepper couple cans of drained and rinsed chickpeas. Let cook 8 hours low, add cooked pasta and vegan parmesan cheese. (Could substitute cooked zucchini noodles for the pasta) it is one of my favorites. I also use morning star farm veggie crumbles, or sometimes chickpeas and black beans to make tacos just with the taco seasoning kits. They do make vegan cheese and Aldi does sell it 🤗 And I love black beans to make black bean burgers. Just a couple cans of rinsed drained black beans, cooked chopped onion and garlic, seasoned bread crumbs, A1 sauce, mix form into patties and l spritz with olive oil, salt and pepper, and you can skillet fry or bake in the oven, flipping half way. Good luck with your vegan week 🤗

Try red lentil dal with rice! Very simple, quick and healthy (the great trifecta!). You can put spinach in or tomatoes. I also eat chili sin carne a lot which is equally as easy and you can eat it with bread on the side. Coconut yoghurt is the best alternative to dairy yoghurt, I find, if you want to put a splash of it on top. Chickpea curry always works very easily as well. And chickpeas roasted in spices and salt are an easy and delicious snack! You could also sprinkle those over pasta to get the protein in the meal. I personally try to not eat the meat alternatives so much because they're full of additives and mainly consist of waters, you might find it interesting to try, though. Legumes and tofu are the way to go! Lentil stews, lentil bolognese, lentil salad - there's a lot of easy options that aren't actually that different from what you eat already, you just swap out the protein :)

Chickpea curry is a super simple vegan recipe! Same with a lot of lentil and bean stews or soups. Meat substitutes are expensive but kind of fun to try out. Trader Joes meatless meatballs are one of the more affordable options.For lunches pbjs are vegan, as is spaghetti without cheese. Keep an eye out for honey/substitute maple syrup in things like granola or oatmeal. For me I found that dairy sneaks into things way more often than meat, so keep an eye out in bread, crackers, tortillas, that kind of thing!

hello vegan here :) lots of asian recipes can easily be made vegan and also low carb like pad thai (roce noodles, veggies, peanut sauce), fried rice made with cauliflower rice (also with veggies), i also cut chinese cabbage in quarters and roast them in the oven with some soy sauce and smoked paprika. you will just need a whole lot of veggies for the week 😂 some easy classics that your kids might like are also pasta dishes, vegan chili, lentil dhaal, maybe burgers with homemade bean patties, curries. try marinating tofu and fry super crispy (dont move it around in the pan too much and squeeze out all the liquid beforehand). have fun and all the best for you!

My favorite go to meal is a vegan curry. I ad a lot of veggies such as red paprika, courgette, carrot, union and garlic together with a can of tomatoes and coconut milk. And chickpeas with left over lentils or beans (only chickpeas works also) I ad curry powder and other spices. As a topping fresh mint with some oil and fresh cherry tomato’s. Delicious and super easy! Throw everything together and let it simmer for a little bit.

Easy vegan meals: stir fry with lots of veggies, noodles (rice noodles are great) and tofu. Chile with rice. Lentil curry. Fried rice with tofu for protein. vegan hamburgers and fries as a fun meal. breakfast- toast, cereal with non dairy milk. Salads are great, you can add in black beans or lentils or quinoa to make it a full meal with protein. If you're into meat substitutes then there are lots of goods ones that act like chicken or beef. Smoothies are great, tofu scrabble instead of scrambled eggs. There are endless ideas. You can also probably make some regular recipes and just substitute out animal products with vegan alternatives.

I’m not vegan but I LOVE black bean salad. Black beans, corn, bell peppers (I like to use tri colors) green onions, dressing is a couple squeezed limes and then a light flavor oil of your choosing. I’ve added jalapeños, tomatoes and avocados too and it’s divine! Great with tortilla chips too. Not vegan but a low carb dish we just discovered was egg roll in a bowl and it’s basically ground meat, shredded cabbage or coleslaw, onion and shredded carrots all stir fried and served as is or over rice!

If pup doesn't have a crate yet it definitely needs one. A quiet warm place where children ARE NOT allowed so she can recuperate and be left alone.Teach your little kids how to correctly hold a puppy, make them ask if its ok before they pick it up. A small dog like that can be easily injured if dropped or stepped on. Your house (although fun and filled with love) would be extremely overwhelming to any young puppy. You need to train your kids as much as you need to train your new pet. Set some limits or you will have a problem relationship between your new dog and your family.

Definitely try using jack fruit. If you slow cooker it with barbecue sauce it can be like pulled pork. It can also be a substitute for meat in tacos. The other thing that's good is grilled portobello mushrooms. Use them like hamburgers. The last thing is taking carrots and marinating them in a liquid smoke marinade. Then grill them like hotdogs.

On your ketchup since you shop at Sam's club or Costco buy your Heinze ketchup in the large #6 can, save and clean out a empty gallon milk jug use a funnel and a church key type can/bottle opener and pour it in the jug, just refill your smaller bottles as needed. I did that when my son was younger him and his dad ate a lot of ketchup! Hope this helps! Love your family and channel!!
