I wonder how they sculpt that guitar sound. It sounds like the mids are pretty well scooped yet they don't sound thin. They also sound so clear. The production is killer on all their tracks!

It sounds like they have the gain set pretty low on the tones and have the upper mids/highs boosted to give that bright clear sheen. You can do that with lower gain because you won't have the high fizz killing your ears. More of a "tinny" clearer tone where the bass fills it out to make everything sound more full as a whole. Reminds me of a metal band from 99 called catheter. They were amazing, the singer was female as well. Good stuff circa 2000s.. not that other catheter band. Death Metal isn't my "go to" subgenre, but the odd number like this one makes my playlist. The strong points of guitar work, very good production, the compelling heads down tempo and structure, and there's a melody in the screamo parts - you could sing it all clean if you wanted. Though I haven't hear much of their music, I think this piece shows the 3 sounds of her voice. The growl is OVERKILL and CLICHE in this music genre. Towards the end of the song, the half growl was excellent. Personally, I would like this music much better with far fewer full growls, hearing the sweet, feminine voice combined with the killer metal background is Ultra-Bad-Ass!.. and that half growl would be better to fit in at ascending or apex points in the music.
