8:37 actually this crosshair in the middle is not a bug. It's a visual anchor for your eyes. It helps you not to feel sick when everything around is so blurry and moves. It provides a fixed point that doesn't move at all so even people who often feel sick in the car won't be affected by clown's effect.

From what I understand, the little plus sign in the center of your screen that appears when you're hindered by clown's bottles is so that people who experience motion sickness have something to focus/anchor their sight on while playing so they don't get so nauseous or disoriented they have to shut off the game. It's not a perfect fix, but it does help a little, at least in my experience. ❤︎
