Ondrej Psenicka's third appearance on Penn & Teller: Fool Us.
This act for Season 7 was developed specifically for Fool Us. Ondrej has never done it before and he will never do it again. It is the most time, thought, and effort he's ever put in a one time event lasting 5 minutes.
Ondrej is among the first magicians to attempt to fool Penn & Teller for a third time. In a great company of Shawn Farguhar, Paul Gertner, and Helen Coghlan.
Alyson Hannigan was a big part of all of Ondrej's Fool Us performances.
Watch the other two!
Season 4: • Will Ondrej Fool Penn ...
Season 6: • Will Ondrej Fool Penn ...

@IAmaPersion Ondrej was wrong about the number. It's 2,652. If you pick a card at random, the odds are 1 in 52. If you pick another card from an other deck, the odds are 1 in 52. Those permutations combined gives us the odds of 1 in 2704. But, because Teller picked a card from a deck where there were 51 cards left (because Penn already took one), the second permutation is 1 in 51. Which gives the total odds of 1 in 2652 for the "lucky guess". Ondrej, you did not fool me. Hand over that trophy. @SaHaRaSquad, thanks for correcting me who took the first card! ;)

Can we appreciate, on top of the fact that Ondrej fooled them the third time, this wonderful routine? Yes, yes, Penn explained how the first and last part worked - But the sheer art of tying in his last appearences? The bold proclamation to find the card 'in the past'? That's just gold, right there. I love it. Because isn't it about the show and to enchant the audience? And as I am not so keen in spotting the little details or know that much about stage magic, I just was blown away and want to thank you for that great great performance.

he said she forced a card without her knowing. I still dont get how this could be possible. The only method i can think of how a layman could force a card requires a certain type of deck and when Ondrej showed the deck it definitely didnt look like that sort of deck. So 1 fooled me, and even the last fooled me. Ok, he had some 2000 videos prepared, but then you need to select the correct video to play. Would be easy with a hidden assistant but thats not allowed. Its not difficult to imagine that some sort of device exists for this, but i have never seen something like this or dont know how exactly it works. Ok so the force and the 2700 videos we know... as for the middle trick, all I can figure is that there was blue on the inside of the box so Alyson knew to put the bug in the blue mouth? He does specifically mention the different colors of the gurus, maybe to hint to her to put it in the same color as the box? My only other guess would be that he had a video clip for each card behind the gurus, and would have told a different story depending on which guru she picked. I don't see any other tricks he could have pulled on those.
@Mitron64

Ondrej from past experience with Allison knows that she dislikes bugs. that's why he reminds her beforehand about eating bugs. to plant in her mind this fear, and make her more squeamish to even holding even a rubber bug. knowing she will probably not want to hold onto the bug any longer than she has to, we can rule out the 3 cards on the right. she simply won't be willing to walk that far to deposit the bug into a mouth. if you look carefully at the footage, it is very apparent he also made the mouth on card #5 significantly smaller, so psychologically people would completely avoid that one, as it would be actually quite a challenge, I imagine, to stuff the plastic bug into that mouth in particular so realistically, there is a very high chance Allison will stuff the bug into one of the mouths on the left, mouth #1, #2, #3, or #4. now consider that if you fan out a deck of cards, and ask someone to "pick a card", they are not likely to pick the first or last card. they are probably going to pick one in the middle. this is just how the brain works. considering all our options has always been essential for our survival. So we acknowledge the first option, but we rarely choose it. why? because we feel the burning desire to at least consider the other options. and a funny thing happens when we spend time considering other options. since we spent time on them, we get invested. we are more likely to pick one of the options we spent more time considering rather than an option we spent less time considering. so in the range of card #1 through card #4, we can eliminate card #1 and card #4, as they will become the new first and last card choices. Allison is more likely to pick one of the 'middle' cards within that subset of cards: card #3 or card #4. this is further reinforced by the choice to make the turbans on cards #1 and #2 very large. the way the human brain works, is we tend to group visually similar shapes together. so psychologically, the first two options become grouped together and considered as a single option rather than as two distinct options. in other words, Allison will be more likely to consider both card #1 and card #2 as the first option, and card #3 as the second option. given her desire to get rid of the bug as soon as possible, that's where her selection ended: on the first 'real' option she could have picked.

@Posting Daily , YES! That’s EXACTLY what I thought, so I went and watched his past appearances. There was only one other card that he didn’t use (either the six or eight or hearts), but none of the faces matched that card, and there are no other choices as salient as the ones he used. I have no clue what other clips he would use to match all those cards. There were so few picked cards with his appearances, and they were all used but one. What clips could he use that wouldn’t look way out of place in the act? Use a clip from a different performer? I think that would be far too suspicious. Those are my thoughts.
