You had great success with eel that kept a long time. A fishing trip to load up eel would be interesting. Perhaps with salted frozen eel (vacuumed packed) you'd never run out of bait. P.S. I use bass pro cat max hooks 9/0 all the time. The only problem is the are not off set enough but that's easily fixed. I did have one a couple years back that broke hooked up with a good fish
