So £695 a month minus 30 percent for running costs that’s £490 a month 75 percent interest only mortgage at 6 percent £393.75. So £95ish a month but she’d pull out £3500

I thought management costs are 10%? Most lettings agents are jokers who just abuse decent tenants. Personally I would cut out the middleman and handle the let myself.

@@Answersonapostcard nah you need a letting agent. The amount of legislation and if you gotta evict a Tennant they are looking for a reason to reject the eviction notice. You even have to take a picture of you putting the notice through the letter box.

@@Answersonapostcard I work with someone who is going through hell because their Tenant hasn't paid for a year. They rented to a "Friend" whose business failed, these people are being helped by the Council to stay by advising them to keep reporting defects which each time resets the clock for eviction.
