I've been waiting for the video like yours I can take a closer look at TCX. It's very helpful. I would like to ask you a little question, is it a cyclocross bike, but do you think it's also good for long distance riding?

Yes, it is a CX bike but I find this just as comfy as a road bike. I'm doing a 250km gravel race on this as mentioned In another video along with a 320km road ride. 🙌

@@SpinAnGrin Thanks to you, I learned that the bike is comfortable even when riding long distances, so I started wanting it.

How do you think this compares to a Crux? 71.0 head angle? Maybe a bit more planted, less lively / twitchy? Did you weigh it?

Great bike, i want to buy frameset and build my dream bike. What's the weight of your bike excluding or including pedals ?
@SpinAnGrin2 ай бұрын
It was probably around 8.5kg all up I would say

Hey mate. I'm thinking about this as an option to move up in the world and replace my Surly. How do you find it descending with the higher BB? And does it work well as a road bike? The CX geometry is new to me, but it seems like a sick option even if not ridden as a CX bike

I love it to be honest. For about a year, I ran this as my single do it all bike with 2 wheel sets. Never had any issues on fast road rides and it excels on Aussie gravel. I've done all the Victorian gravel events on this bike with just 38mm tires, plus some truely chunky stuff "Goldfields Trail" and alike. It's never come up short for me. It would be perfection for me if it had internally routed cables as I like that athletic.

Deliberately choose this over the Revolt for gravel riding or do you do cx races?
@SpinAnGrin9 ай бұрын
At the time, I wanted more a road/race geometry bike. Plus I didn't need additional mounts on the bike. If I was doing more bike packing, I would choose the revolt for the mounts. Otherwise I feel like this is the faster bike

do u think 40t is a little bit small when you do road biking, if swap to a 44t or 46t will be better ?
@SpinAnGrin3 ай бұрын
Depends on the type of road biking. It's good up to about 42kmph and then you spin out. A 44T would be more efficient for the road but would then be too big for the gravel for the hills I ride on
