Because of you I bought one of these and I also love it! I tried something different the other day. I took a small beard brush and brushed the whiskers against the grain and then came in with the Oneblade. Talk about close! Brushing the whiskers stand them up so they're more accessible to the Oneblade. I followed that with a single pass with a safety razor and barely felt any feedback. Rubbed some heavily mentholated after shave and didn't feel any stinging whatsoever. You should give it a try if you haven't already.

I got a Durablade, maybe this is better but that one just doesn't seem to save me any time over regular shaving, between going over areas more than once to get everything and pausing to let it cool down, and also leaves skin dryer than shaving. But, it stayed because it's not a big investment and it's good for when I've really let my stubble go to lengths a razor gets draggy on. Ymmv with all shave products for sure!

Should not shave over lips. I did with OneBlade and cut them, although no blood and not initially noticed. More than months out and still not fully healed. Called Philips and, without letting them know of my experience, instructed not to shave over lips or could cut yourself. Now I was shaving left to right. So do not know if that was the problem or whether multiple passes and pressed too hard, or just sensitive skin (also cut my neck one time) But advise not to shave over lips.

Pro tip. The Razor has blades on the top and bottom. So there is no need to flip it when you want to shave in the opposite direction. Shave up and then down in the same pass. Dont lift the razor off of your face and you can shave in both directions in one stroke.

@averageguytested4 жыл бұрын
The trick with One Blade is to shave against the grain. You’ll also need to give it a couple of shaves to get your beard acclimated to the blade. At the end of the day tho- it will never cut as close as a DE or traditional cartridge razor, but it’s a great tool for quick casual shaves, ripping off long stubble and beards, edging and trimming, etc.
