Love Giovanni products, especially the foam, the gel and the deep conditioner (the Nutrafix I think it’s called). I find that applying the foam on soaking wet hair really helps to clump it, and then I squeeze out excess water and apply the gel to damp hair. Your results are gorgeous!! 😍

Wow! Thank you so much for this suggestion!! I read it on Thursday night and decided to give it a go on Friday. Giovanni mousse on soaking hair, blotted with micro fibre, allowed to dry while I got dressed etc followed by my beloved homemade FSG before diffusing. Game changer! I had curls and mini-ringlets an inch from my scalp - even on my “assy” side 😲 (unheard of for me). Thank you!! 😊

I have dry, high porosity hair, so unfortunately my hair didn’t like the tree tea line. I didn’t need it for scalp issues but I wanted to use it bc I love anything with a minty scent. I do LOVE the Giovanni 50/50 shampoo as a mild clarifying shampoo. It is moisturizing and clarifying- a lovely product 👍🏼. The Giovanni gel is actually pretty good too and I have very problematic hair; lots of stylers won’t work for my frizzy, fine hair.

@@HtheKing well, I only wash my hair about every 5 days. I have very dry hair. I would use the Giovanni as a gentle clarifying shampoo if I felt like my hair had product buildup. If my hair is just its normal frizzy self, then I chose a moisturizing shampoo like Olaplex No 4. There is also a small black owned company- Nature’s Little Secret. They make a gentle cleansing Cucumber shampoo; it is a favorite too.

I love Giovanni! I never thought to put in mousse after gel, I'll have to try it out. I have found that their 50:50 Balanced Clarifying-Hydrating conditioner to be more moisturizing than the Deeper Moisture conditioner. Go figure!

Hey Courtney! I love watching all your videos. They have always been so helpful. I recently found the Giovanni conditioner at Marshall's and was so excited to try it. I actually used it yesterday just to kind of start over with my hair. It was extra dry so I didn't use a shampoo, just conditioned. I noticed lots of suds and it took a while to rinse it all out. Have you ever noticed their conditioner lathering? Or did I maybe use too much? Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

I just used the massaging brush for the first time today (with me head tilted forward) and I'm having second thoughts. The tangles I got were unbelievable. There was one huge knot on the back of my head and no amount of conditioner was making it easier to detangle it. Somehow I managed not to pull out half of my hair. Have you got any "special moves" when using this brush. Note: mine doesn't have vibrating option so I really have to work it with my hand.

Ashley Leger from what you’re describing, this washbay lineup would be very helpful to you. Deva curl was way too moisturizing for my hair. Even with the protein in it it wasn’t enough for my hair. I think deva curl was designed for people with thirsty your hair than mine. The tea tree shampoo is borderline clarifying, which is awesome. The smooth as silk conditioner has a good little kick of protein in it, and it’s feather light. It is moisturizing without being over moisturizing. The gel has no hydrolyzed proteins in it but it really behaved like a gel with proteins when I applied it to my hair. The mousse is essential for me if I want volume. But is volume is not your struggle then you could probably skip it.

Ahsinom Kr of course! You are so welcome! I do find the mousse has good hold! I have used it before as a single styler and had great results. In this video I detangled only when my hair was wet and full of conditioner. But I have used a wet brush on dry hair before to detangle. I think it is much better to detangle when your hair is wet and full of conditioner. It is more gentle.

Hello!!!! Will I have a problem with frizz using Giovanni shampoo since there is a little glycerine in it. I live in nepa and it’s mostly cold here but we do get a couple months of humid weather and I’m trying to get rid of the frizz. I plan on getting styling products without glycerine. I have very fine hair and the curl in it is very similar to yours but the outsides of my hair is super dry & brittle. I don't color or use heat on my hair either. I started my journey with Jessicurl and only recently tried Giovanni Silk and the gel. I also have virgin, fine, thin hair. My hair hates the Giovanni line. I had flash drying with the shampoo and conditioner, tons of wet frizz, my curls won't clump and after 3 wash days with this line, my hair is a flat, dry, crispy mess. I would recommend the Jessicurl to start, a little goes a long way and they have sample sizes. Giovanni also has travel sizes so you can try without spending too much to start.

I bought a sample of the Jessicurl & I couldn't get my fingers through my hair but I will try it again w/more shampoo next time. The gel I felt like didn't dry my ends out as much as the Giovanni but I got more bounce & definition from Giovanni. I'm convinced they don't make a shampoo for me, lol.

The gel and shampoo don’t have glycerin and I want to say that the condition has it listed as the 5th ingredient so it’s not as heavy in it as other things. Might be the perfect balance of glycerine.

Hi just joined your page from recommendation from a person on CG method group on Facebook. Ive been following CG method for 4years but my hair is limp and no curls. Yeah, not all Giovanni products are cg approved. And to answer your question: if it were me I would actually do both a Suave clarifying shampoo and an ACV rinse to make sure my hair was super super clarified. Then I would deep condition like my life depended on it! LOL
