Classics has been kicking butt here lately. I look forward to these videos more than any since the volume of videos has increased. Tommy, Brendan, and Kase are the best suited for it too because they have the love for the old cars. Thanks guys for making this channel so enjoyable to watch.

You can tell David has been around square body Chevys for a long time, he popped the hood like a pro knowing exactly where to hit it, I remember as a kid growing up with them trucks having to bump the hood everytime! For as price it's hard to put a number on it, best option is to put it on TFL bids with a reserve of what he has in it from the original purchase price of the truck and engine swap that way David would be guaranteed to at least get his money back, someone out there wants that truck and probably will pay a pretty penny for it!

There was a certain model of the 2nd gen Ford Explorer sport that was an absolute beast also. I think it was the one where the four-wheel drive selector said awd/4wd high/4wd low. It had Torsen differentials apparently. My buddy had a CJ7 quadratrac with Mickey Thompson's that couldn't do as well on our trails as that Explorer could on Goodyear Wrangler AT....

I don't think I have ever seen a 4-door Explorer with a 5-speed manual, I have seen a handful of Explorer Sports with them but never a 4-door. The fact that that thing exists makes me sooooo happy! I'd love to own that. What a needle in a haystack it is!

Hey Brenden... Nice R52. I've got an '05 Mini Cooper S 'vert with the JCW package ($5k option at the time) and the Sport Chrono package. 92k miles. Got it for $5k because it had an oil leak. It was just the crank sensor O-ring. Since I had to put it in "front service" mode, I did the water pump, belt, and a supercharger service at the same time.

I'm amazed that TFL with all your knowledge bought a VW for $14k with a ton of bondo! 1 that steering wheel besides being the wrong color is not correct for that year ! Should have put a 3 spoke wheel with holes and fome wrap around like in Dune Buggy's the engine only takes 15 mins tops to remove ! The Citroën is cool! They used one in James Bond "For Your Eyes Only" and had one roll down a hill and kept running! Had a 59 Fiat Bianchina that had a 2 cylinder in it Stil love your show!

It has probably been mentioned before, but I am all in on a manual swap for that S10. I am also loving the manual Explorer as well. I had a bright red 1998 Sport with the 4.0 OHV and a 5 speed manual. It was my first SUV and my absolute favorite. New England rust ate that one, along with a bad head gasket. While I love my lifted Envoy, I still really miss that old Explorer! I took it off roading in WV and it was a great time.

Yep, it's impressive how quickly the money drains away when you get into multiple fixer-upper projects at once. My neighbor did it, my friend did it, and a few of my coworkers do it. I feel like it'd be better to pick just one vehicle that you really like, and focus on fixing up that one, rather than trying to split all your time that you don't have between myriad broken vehicles that you can't afford to fix.

Tommy's collection is great but I feel way old knowing how much he paid for the vw and 2cv like a lot of the car market it seems about 10k high for the age/rust/depreciation that would have been on there pre covid. I always find it interesting that even though this is a classic channel their older vehicle is from the late 70's. I usually imagine classic from the 60s 50s and 40s. But i know those are way too expensive to buy and fix up for a smaller channel like this so i have to slow down my expectations. Also i do wish there was a few American Classic cars on the channel not just suvs or trucks. Also i dont share the same love for older mini or minis. Could do Budget Rally Volvo for cheap project maybe. Tommy why not part out the Cherokee with that nice of a interior prolly might make some money on it.
