I have a 2003 Silverado Z71. Extended cab. It sounds to me like I will be putting on the Cherry Bomb Extreme now. Thanks for the test and hard work. Saved me from experimentation on this job. I hate doing mufflers and exhaust in general. I'll only have to do it once now. Sounds awesome.

Wonder if 2 cherry bomb extreme muffler 1 say where the catalytic converter or resonator is and the other near the end of the tailpipe would make a high flow exhaust as quiet as the Cherry Bomb Pro mufflers? 2 inline 1 chambers as quiet or quieter than 1 2 chamber muffler?

I have the Pro's on my 68 F-100. They definitely do not compare to 40 series Flowmasters. They are much louder than that.

Carter Ropcean considerable drone from about 1700 to 2000 rpm, but it doesn’t bother me personally because I like the sound. You can still talk to a passenger without having to yell.

I personally couldn't really hear much (if any difference) in the volume, even while wearing headphones. I think I like the Pro a bit better though because it sounds just a little more refined whereas the Extreme has more of a raw exhaust note.

Well, both sound almost the same. Pro has a little deeper tone and doesn't have as much drone. so..its a wash for me.

I'd say the less restriction of the air flow will help improve the exhaust tone.

You should try the flowmaster Flow FX mufflers out! They’re fairly cheap too

For shits and giggles last year I took a pair of SLP Loudmouth 2s off my 2001 5.0 Mercury Mountaineer and put on a pair of Flowmaster Flow FX and they sound the same but a better throatier tone and half the price. However 2 days ago I tried a pair of Cherry Bombs M80-250 and those are better and louder than most glasspack type mufflers.
