Moose from Midwest Magic cleaning sent me to your page. He mentioned your great sense of cleaning, organization and sense of humor. We moved from a 2500 sq ft house with TONS of closets to a house that is 1200 sq ft and tiny closets. So, to say the least, I have spent the last umteen years getting rid of stuff to fit our tiny house with no closets. My kitchen is organized. My bathroom is also clean and organized. We have no place to put our cleaning supplies, brooms, vacumes, cleaning stuff. My bedroom closet is the monster. Plus one flat surface that keeps getting junkified.

Hi! I’m another of Mack’s followers. I’ve been binge watching your videos while I clean. I’ve noticed you’ve commented a lot about the colors in your house etc and if it’s at all helpful, I’ve noticed you have lots of very cool colors and lots of very warm colors. It would feel more cohesive to meet in the middle. If you’re not happy with the gray color, you could go something like a warm gray or a taupe that way it goes with the gray and white marble that you have and also your warm cabinets and warm floor color. Also, I noticed that a lot of your accessories are warm toned like the accessories in your bathroom, etc. then you could add some warm colors like navy and orange or shades of teal or yellow, etc. Because everything goes with a simple taupe . If you wanted to replace any of your cabinet hardware or your fixtures, in my opinion, you should use polished nickel because polished nickel has warmth to it. But it also has the nice shiny feeling like chrome. All of that being said it’s your house. It is gorgeous and as long as all of you are happy with it who cares what some random stranger on the Internet says.😅
@feraltradwife3 ай бұрын
I care and those are great tips! I’m transitioning away from the cool look with heavy white and beige and grey. I loved it for so long. You’re totally right I need to lean in to the warmth. But good lord don’t make me paint! 😫
@jbridges95743 ай бұрын
@@feraltradwife I absolutely HATE painting but my house needs it badly! I’m having a pro paint the primary bedroom, bathrooms, and kitchen and then I’m doing the rest. That way it will look good but cost less. I’m not a detail person so lots of cut-in’s are a recipe for disaster for me.

I thoroughly enjoyed this video! I had so much I had to get done before I could sit down and watch, and of course, my baby girl needed a thousand things right when I was about to sit down to watch this. What a satisfying clean! I LOVE your bedding! At first I wasn't sure, but then when you put the yellow pillow on, I fell in love! I'm a white and gray person. All the walls in my house were white when I moved in, and I haven't pained them yet. My girls' rooms we painted before we moved in, and I painted them the color Thunder Snow which is just gray enough that the white trim pops. The C word. I think I've told you this story before, but my memory sucks, so I'm not sure. My little one came home from Pre-K one day completely appalled. She said that one of her classmates was VERY bad today and said the C word! She could not believe that the teacher just mildly got onto the kid because we do NOT use that kind of language. I was shocked as well because I thought she was talking about the C-word that you were talking about. Turns out the kid said crap. Whew! My daughters' bathroom has a massive mirror hanging on the wall, and it is the kind that has the wire you hang it on which is super secure, especially for such a large mirror. We used command strips on back of the sides of it to further secure it to the wall. They've since given out, but it helped for five years. I cracked up when Beauty piled up on your freshly mopped floor, and I cracked up even more when you put Leroy's toys up, and I saw him trotting across in front of the camera a moment later with one of his toys lol. Love you!
@feraltradwife6 ай бұрын
I’m going to use the command strips I think. The mirror is only annoying when I clean it. I went with “agreeable grey” which was supposed to be a good blend of grey and beige but it really shows up as grey in here. You’ll see when I make you visit. It’s so funny that kids have their own versions of cuss words and that they’re REAL big deals. My kids still don’t know about the super swear words…..as soon as my oldest learns one it’s all over for us. That kid has no chill!!

About the entry bookcase,could you have someone build three doors, ( maybe even find the original custom builder,if not,paint if needed) then assign each door for your kid’s shoes,sports gear or whatever else they take in and out of the front door? The bottom cabinets could be for you and your husband and dog leashes,etc. Kind of like a family launch and landing pad. Oh my goodness,that was an amazing amount of work that you did that first day, I don’t know how you thought you could have done the whole house,and yes,you did do a lot of deep cleaning! (Your master shower alone would have done me in!). Since school is done for a few months,I wonder if you could have each child (off camera of course) body double with you. For example,while you clean the entire rest of the bathroom,one of them cleans the entire shower.(you could even first show them a KZbin “how to” video, Yours!)😂🤣😅 Then the next day,while you clean the kitchen,one of the kids could totally take the sofa apart,vacuum,plump pillows,spot clean,etc. The advantage is that they learn about thorough cleaning and home maintenance while being able to mentally concentrate on only one chore.(less overwhelming for some who can’t deal with an entire messy room) And if you did decide to show the before and afters while giving them the credit,I’m sure that all of your motherly and grandmotherly viewers would praise their work! 👏🤭

Years ago,I did an estimate for a weekly housecleaning job and when I got to the master bathroom,there were products,hair tools,etc. covering the entire,double sink vanity counter. I told her that she could do whatever she wanted the rest of the week,but if she wanted to save money,she should put everything away on the morning of my cleaning so that I could just concentrate on the surfaces. I made the suggestion of getting four dollar store baskets and putting (by categories) in the items that they used EVERY DAY. So her husband’s basket had his brush and comb,razor,deodorant and toothbrush and paste. (in a travel box) Her three boxes were: hair tools and products,nighttime skin routine and morning makeup. Then I told her that some people take each basket out of the cabinet,tip out the contents and put each item back in the basket as they went through their routine,then put entire basket back in the cabinet. After the first week,she excitedly told me what a game changer this was for them both because she knew that the stuff was far from decorative and definitely detracted from the “relaxing spa” her beautiful bathroom could have been. She said that the added bonus was that when she was at her most tired times of the day,(early morning and late evening) she could do these routines on automatic pilot because it was like checking off a list. It still works for visual people because even though it’s not all on display,it’s all visible once you pull out a particular basket and tip it out. 🙌🏻
