While the internal window of the app you are screen recording in OBS, PhotoShop in this case, it will appear in Sources, available as one of your Window Capture options....🤗 thanks for the vid on color sep!!!

Im soooo happy I came across your page. How well does this work with half tones? Do you have your printer set up with all black ink in all the cartridges? If you have your printer set up with all black, can you skip the last step with changing all the colors to black? I print full color DTF prints but wanting to add Screen Print by the end of the year and the color separation is whats gitting me. I would hate to pay someone every single time I get an order.

@@kimaustin5409 it works as long as your working with a high quality image. My printer does not have black ink in all cartridges but each color you seperate you will print black on transparency film so that you can burn the image to a screen. If you trying to screen print you can’t skip the last step as your going to need to a black image in order to burn it. Once the screen is burned you can then choose the color of your ink.

You have obs set to record the photoshop window and not your desktop. The pop ups are not the photoshop window so they are not recorded. Switch to recording the desktop. I would label the separated layers with the color name. So that when you convert to black for screen burning you still know the color. On another tip photoshop ain’t cheap doe.

Adobe no longer sells its products, you have to rent from them. Another alternative is Corel Draw and no monthly fees either. If da software separates the colors you got it.

It depends on the quality of the image. The better the quality the better you will be able to separate the colors. Sometimes you have to tweak the settings as well to adjust how tight the line is around the colors.

It’s more of a magenta color.. you also have to understand I’m looking at a pre-edited screen meaning the colors are true. When this video was made it was color corrected so the colors may be slightly off.

This can be tricky but it can be done depending on where the colors are. I have been able to successfully print colors more colors than what my press can handle because I was able to do multiple colors on one screen. Like one color on top and another on the bottom. You can use screen dividers to keep the squeegees from touching or crossing. It can be done but it depends on the design.
