Guys, I was at that pottery area about 2 years ago. At the top of the road with the 2 long pottery buildings that they make the pottery in. Interesting pottery places.

The way this video opened with Seaside Drive-In, which was close to my house when I lived in Okinawa. I would also walk to Onna no eki sometimes:). Oh the nostalgia. I never had my own car in Okinawa because I hate driving, so I used the buses all the time...and the bus from Naha to Nago takes about one hour and 40 minutes. Btw. people better not expect the mainland punctuality when it comes to Oki buses heh, they hardly ever come according to the timetable but still, they are a lifesaver for people like me.

I love road trip videos! I giggled at the "broken heart" bench. It's a love seat! Built for two, it slants into the middle so you slide together. Promotes closeness. 😆

hi guys and thanks for the videos and in this one the bench in front of the ocean does not represent a broken heart in my opinion but the fact that it leans on both sides towards the center is for the people who sit on it find themselves in the center by the law of gravity and the heart resides ❤️!!! this bench is so cute and poetic 🥰😍

Another great video and more inspiration for future travels. My list grows longer. I recently saw the Seaside Drive-In featured on an NHK 72hrs Documentary. It looks like a really interesting place. It’s on the list as is Yachimun no Sato. I always visit Tsuboya Pottery District when in Naha. Like you, Shinichi, I love collecting pottery🤗. Looking forward to the TabiEats video. My mouth is watering and my stomach is growling in anticipation 😄. Take care and stay safe🙏🏻😊

Of all the gorgeous scenery, interesting shops, and delicious food you showed us, my favorite moments of this great video were those you spent petting the sweet, adorable kitty. 😻 Warmed my heart! Thank you for another amazing video of Okinawa! Perhaps if your allergies allow, one day you could visit Nyan-Nyan Ji in Kyoto. According to what I've seen, the current head monk is a beautiful and dignified white cat named Koyuki.

I love it when you said “ we travel for food” ! We do too and we love to try out the amazing food that only the locals can provide! I’m wondering if you can tell me if the vendors at the rest stop spoke English or is it easy to navigate if you don’t speak the native tongue?

Okinawa is subtropical but it gets pretty cool during the winter. So your best bet is to go off season which is from like mid November to mid April. If you are are not interested in swimming in the sea, it's the ideal time to visit Okinawa. But on the other hand, the heat is much more manageable in Okinawa because of the sea breeze. I definitely suffered during summers more after I moved to Kyoto.

Hi Heather. Don’t know much about purchasing cars in Okinawa, but we usually go with Toyota Rental. Right now renting a car in Okinawa is quite expensive, perhaps around ¥7000-¥10000 per day. Making reservations way in advance is a must. All cars come with a navigation system installed. Hope this helps

Im traveling to Okinawa next week and having a hard time booking car rentals through the internet, all of the are unavailable. I’m guessing it will be easier to rent a car when we’re already there. Do you have any recommendations on which company to use when you book your car rental?
@Shinichisworld
@Shinichisworld 2 жыл бұрын
That’s a tough one because rental cars are very scarce at the moment. We found one through a company called Times.
