Ariel, I am a grandma aged mega fan! You inspire me! Your creative, free youth is wonderful! I had a bit of freestyle as a young woman, it takes courage! My dear love, I wish for you friendship, ever expanding knowledge and to maintain your joy and courage throughout your life. Thank you for sharing your home, ideas and spirit filled life with all of us! And yes, seeing your good environment is walking me through an entire home refresh and maintenance. Good luck, Ariel!

Me too. I’m 71, and I rehabbed houses for a living for a few years in my mid-50s. It was lots of fun but super exhausting and super stressful owning another house and pouring money into it with fingers crossed that it would sell for a profit. Fortunately, they all did and I got out of the last one before the huge market crash in 2006 in Florida. Ariel is super inspiring and I have been binge watching her videos this week, thoroughly enjoying her bright and enthusiastic personality and smart choices on her home.
@marcybrennanart8477 Жыл бұрын
I have been binge watching all of your videos on both channels this week and really enjoying them. I rehabbed homes as a realtor in my mid 50s and really enjoyed the process. I’m now 71 and retired from real estate, living in a newer home. No more rehabbing for this old gal. 😂 It was of course exhausting and I didn’t do all the work myself but I did a lot. I can totally relate to what you were doing on your home. I remember watching your kitchen remodel in Sim four and you saying how you would love to have wallpaper in there but that it is so expensive. Have you heard about Spoonflower? They are an American company that prints on demand both wallpaper and fabric. They use designs created by indie artists only and there are thousands of designs there that I think you would love. I retired from real estate last year and I’m a full-time artist and have over 1200 designs on Spoonflower myself. Im including a link to my farmers market wallpaper below, just so you can get a feel for what Spoonflower is all about. It is just a fabulous ethical company. Why not get in touch with them and see if you can do some marketing for them in your videos and get them to send you your wallpaper for free? They do that sort of thing all the time. I think you guys would make a great matchup for your videos. www.spoonflower.com/en/wallpaper/13547435-farmers-market-large-by-marcy_brennan_art?fabric=wallpaper_peel_and_stick

Ariel…my entire 33 year career has been in education (reading specialization). Everything you’ve created seems to be inspired by reading. Your beautiful life is a perfect example of the richness and joy books can bring into our lives. If I ever go back to the classroom, believe me, I’ll be sharing your videos and the associated inspirational literature. First on my list will be your beautiful reading nook and then your Jane Austin inspired room(s). Dear Ariel Years ago I found your channel through the booktube community and I immediately took a liking to you. Your lovely and warm personality really took me by storm, as our obvious shared love for books. Then I just drifted away from youtube for a long time (due to having had children and far too little free time) but recently I've found my way back here, and most of that reason is you and this awesome project that you've taken on with the house. I love all your updates and projects around the house! I love how you are so unafraid to put so much of your personality in your house (which is something I'm always afraid to do). I find myself constantly looking forward to your new content! That being said, I really do hope you are taking good care of yourself! I can imagine that being freelance can bring a lot of stress with it, but don't loose sight of your own needs. Hopefully you have a wonderfull time being away from work this holliday season.

Your videos are always so calming and relaxing to watch. Your home is so inviting and lovely and cozy. As a fellow Canadian, I hear ya. It’s like hibernation mode kicks in and the urge to just curl up and sleep is hard to fight. It’s taken a lot of intentional decision making throughout the years to slow this season down. We’re very very choosy about what we commit to doing because that instinct to rest more conflicting with an amped up social calendar just creates so much stress and then we don’t actually enjoy the moments. I totally embraced hygge and I keep the house dimly lit, fire going, and candles burning and put on my coziest clothes as soon as I get home and embrace the cold and dark. I actually kinda look forward to winter now. Also, those ducks are heartwarming somehow 😊
