Our Life Thai

Our Life Thai

6 жыл бұрын

The day starts early, its 5am and my Thai wife is already out of bed and getting ready for work.
But for me, I’m early retired and so no point rushing around to do anything. I’m operating on Thai time. I’ll do a bit of washing, some KZbin stuff, see what I can find in the village for breakfast and lunch, say hello to some Thai people, teach a little English and finally, brave the Bangkok traffic to pick up the Missus from work.
All in a day’s non-work. It’s so hard being a kept man.
We hope that you enjoyed watching this video.
Please put any questions that you might have in the comments section below. I will do my best to answer as quickly and as accurately as possible.
Don't forget to click like, subscribe and share with your friends.
We look forward to seeing you back here again very soon.

Most thai girls would pack up their job and totally really on you when they get a farang man. You got a good catch there mate ?
@OurLifeThai
@OurLifeThai 5 жыл бұрын
G'Day Michael I wouldn't say "most Thai girls", because the majority of Thai girls aren't really interested in having a foreign husband, they are perfectly happy with Thai men. I think that you're talking about women who have had little education, are not career oriented or who have had children and can't find a good Thai man. Farang aren't God's gift to ALL Thai girls. 🤣🤣🤣 But you're right on one point, I did get a good one. Take care

Brad & Ta what I really enjoy about your videos is that they are real & not all glossy brochures. I love the kindness & gentle nature of the Thais which is an example for the whole world. My 4th trip is coming up in a couple more weeks & I will likely retire there. It was there or The Philippines & then the balance was tipped when TESCOS carries HP Sauce! :)

Great VLOG Brad. Really interesting to see how you spend your day. 3 hours morning commute for Ta is a very long commute. One of the best things about Thailand is the choice of different foods, all are delicious. You definitely have many choices in your village. I really enjoyed your English lesson, do you follow any type of syllabus? The reason I ask this is I am trying to teach my nephew English. He is Thai and has had a university education and his goals are to improve his spoken English and to watch movies in English. Thank you both for sharing your day with us.
@OurLifeThai
@OurLifeThai 6 жыл бұрын
Hey Andy Thanks mate. Really I have no experience in teaching, we just talk and I explain the meaning of certain words. This may sound silly, but I always recommend people watch English speaking cartoons like Peppa Pig. The English is simple and spoken slowly / clearly, they're fun to watch and they can help so much with the basics. Thanks again for your comments.

Actually, I live like you. I'm in Korea and retired. My wife has to leaving home before eight for work. My retire life is more or less similar with yours. And travel overseas is one of our biggest happiness, especially when we go to southeast Asian countries, like Thailand. You are living with your loved one, and I am very happy that you seem to be well adapting locally where you are living.. Be healthy and have fun and thanks for your interesting videos.

G'Day Mate Thanks so much. The trip is up to 3 hours by public transport in the morning, but I pick her up in the afternoon. It's roughly an hour each way in the car. Impossible that we find a townhouse that we can afford any closer to her work. Looking forward to hearing from you often. Take care Brad & Ta

Just stumbled on your video and interestingly I am a retired American who is also married to a wonderful Thai woman for the last 6 years. We live in the same village that you do and go to some of the same vendors. (My favorites are the Pad Thai lady on the main road and gio nam guy next to 7-11). We actually spend only 4 months of the year in Samut Prakan and the rest of the year in Northern California but we love the life there just like you. My biggest complaint about the village is the amount of trash around that beautiful lake and I have tried to clean it up a little in my walks. We will be back there in October -- maybe we could buy you and your wife a beer? Or share a meal? My wife is a wonderful cook.

G'Day Michael Welcome to Our Life Thai Yes, the rubbish around the lake is a problem. One possible solution would be to actually supply bins for people to use, but the village administration is worried that more people would use those bins and stop paying their village rates. Catching up when you're here sounds great. Please stay in touch. ourlifethai@gmail.com Take care Brad & Ta

Yes Sir! I have followed your orders. Since I loved the videos I've subscribed! It's pleasant to watch the acknowledgment laden, respectful way you and your wife relate to each other. I'm older and have health issues and am in the process of a divorce. However through self study and a ridiculously strict diet have gotten myself back to where I'm optimistic about a long life and even the possibility of cautiously getting into another frying pan, I mean a friendship with a lovely Thai women. It's great to see my life savings can go pretty far over there and I will hopefully be able to sustain a good lifestyle through the inevitable inflation that will surely happen there as the Thai Middle Class continues to grow. Your videos have a great mellow tone that I find very informative. Keep up the great work your channel will grow!

This is, indeed, a great channel! Very grateful for good people like this. What diet are you using to get back on track? Depending on where you are, you may also find moving alone will improve your health. I travel quite a bit. Will try to stay at least a few months in each place (unless it’s a short trip for business). I find my health status changing quite often depending on the area. Every place has it’s own regulations involving chemicals and what is and isn’t allowed in food, so... it only makes sense. But it quite surprised me the first time.

Dear Brad .. I am only 1/2 way thru this video n i love the walk thru the market n others .. but i feel sad too seeing having to leave for work .. I would like to make a humble comment - typically, or generally Asians are quite simple ppl ie Ta n all .. to make things even better, u yourself Brad, yes, u dear senor Brad, to me at least, is a kind, simple, humble n easy-going guy .. that makes all the Thailand migration for u an 'out-of-this-world' experience. On 'vice-versa' situation, u n Ta bring out the best/lightest of character out of each other .. takes two to Tango. .. One day, maybe Ta find a career nearer 2u(@home) .. we r not getting any younger .. take care alwayz .. may God bless u n Ta alwayz too. my 2nd half comments .. from my heart, as an introvert guy too, tQ for putting the effort to fetch Ta, ur luvly wife from work. the best part of the videi comes from min .. dear Brad .. it's not u to say thx for watching ur video, it's us the viewer shud be saying a "big tQ" 2u for sharing ur wonderful life n experience. p/s my minus 1/1000 pnt, yes minus 1/1000 of ur video is .. u made me hungry n drooling for food twice. Luckily i hv not had my breakfast yet n being in KL, i can run out n look for similar food. take care.

This is general living standard in Thailand for city area. The country side much more different. Thailand had many welfare to support all people even money, not so stress social. A few year train system link many major city with BKK, more convenience. Foreigner allowed to buy condominium, which you can retirement without mary, but required to deposit money around 70k usd.
