Normie Rowe did an awesome job in this production singing with passion, digging within his own depth of heart and soul.... Normie has wonderful dramatic vocals and this just shows how versatile he can be when the opportunity arises.... What ever Normie is doing at any one time he always puts everything he has into it with such passion.... He has one killer voice that hits deep within ones own soul.... I feel that Normie Rowe did his version of the lead character best of all. BRILLIANTLY DONE !!!

Yes he is, but he took a break after the Sydney run and came back in 1990 for Adelaide and the ones following it. I think the Javert here might be John Diedrich, who took the part for the intervening runs

Oops, sorry I got confused there! I stand corrected. He is indeed the original Aussie Javert. Some of the original cast has already left by the time of this performance (e.g. Quast, Jodie Gillies, Simon Burke, etc.) and the Javert here is indeed John Diedrich. On the other hand, the Eponine here is Laura Hamilton.
