Noticed Nigel's lighting for sure because it's purposeful and dramatic as hell. But context matters when it comes to lighting setups! 3 point is dramatic and moody-would work for another type of podcast... But this one is about frank, friendly discussion. Seems kinda sus when half of your face is in the shadows. AND you spent extra money renting gear (+ Uber!), haiyahhh. Or at least hook Evelyn up with the same setup! Nothing more unprofessional looking than mismatched lighting

OMG! I feel the same as Evelyn about hearing the sound of unknown language in the surroundings. I used to live in a foreign country which I don't speak their local language and it makes me much calmer because I don't necessarily understand all their complaints and anger and cursing. It was almost like meditation that you are in a noisy world but you are also out of it. I love that weird calmness.

It is obvious that due to the time difference with Nigel being in Malaysia and Evelyn in Sweden, they are recording this episode of the podcast at night in Malaysia and in the day in Sweden. First off, I love seeing Evelyn's continued glow-up as the episodes go on. Looking great Evelyn! As for the lighting, I will give Nigel credit. It is pretty immaculate and it kind of gives me movie/soap opera vibes because of how it clean it looks. So yes production value is on Nigel's side. However, I am still more of a fan of natural lighting personally, sorry Nigel lol! Synopsis of the podcast: Asian families, sex, décor/types of homes, mental health. I love how seamlessly they transition from one topic to the next and it is so hilarious and out of nowhere that I just can't help but burst out laughing. Props to Evelyn for two of my favorite lines in this podcast: "I don't fuck with younger guys, I fuck with younger houses" and "Talk like the dick you already have". Amen to that! I loved how relatable the discussion of Asian family was for me because it is very similar in Latino culture, especially about moving out (my mother would not mind me staying home forever lol) and how they focus so much on caring for you that once you grow up and are independent, it is very difficult for them to let that go.
