I think most of people having problems with it are hardcore players of Tarkov who play it so much that they dont want anyone to get a boost to lvl 15. Arena is like much less of an advantage than paying for any of the tiers above base game. Arena helps on pvp combat, helps you get the idea why you arent hitting shots, gets you some money and some xp in the start, after that who cares? You still have to do the quests, level up traders, upgrade hideout and get better at the game, map knowledge and choosing your fights for example.

I'm not a hardcore player by any means, but when people can get this kind of shit by just booting up arena for 10 minutes it destroys the whole integrity of the game. Why should I spend hours grinding currency and quests for better gear, when someone else can do the same simply by swiping their credit card, and then proceed to destroy me in max gear because I didn't want to pay the BSG tax? Literally everyone that preaches that this game isn't pay to win in this community all have EOD or Unheard and have never played more than an hour on a standard account.

The stuff aqua thinks he got from one match is what you get when you boot the game initially. In arena you use cash and gp coins to level up your kits in arena. You don't really get more than like 15 or so coins from completing a quest, and a typical gun or gun part costs like 15-20 gp. Arena is honestly the only reason I still play Tarkov instead of just SPT, regular Tarkov has the most frustrating and boring quests in any game I have ever played in my opinion and being able to get flea and lvl 2 traders before even having to start doing the quest helps my mental a lot. Also it is the only way to make Arena relevant and not dead.

Same but it's not a frustration thing for me, I've been playing the game since the first closed alpha before quests were even implemented into the game and quite frankly I'm bored of questing. I want to play Tarkov and I want to loot, I don't want to redo the same quests I've already done 35 times before I can even begin to get to the point where I can enjoy the game. I got flea on Arena and jumped back onto Tarkov and the quests aren't as boring because I don't feel like I NEED to do them anymore. It's made this wipe by far the most enjoyable one since about 0.11 for me.

Once you get skilled at it, you should be able to pull about 750k - 1mil Rubles out of each 10~ minute Scav run, consistently. Once I get my scav queue timer sped up a bit I can make some crazy money from Scav runs.

Only difference is XP rewards and grinding random tasks for XP will always be worse than arena. Doesnt take away anything from the game just more options for playstyles. You can earn roubles with flea trading alone and not even going into raids now.

I like the addition of Arena and Tarkov combining. working 40 hours a week I don't often have time for raids that last as long as they do just to level up 50%, I've been able to boost my level as I didn't get to start on Wipe day and have managed to catch-up. Also it eliminates gear fear and "should" prevent Timmy's from camping a corner because gear is now easier replaceable.

The matches are only ten minutes long, and get your tarkov account easy XP and weapon mastery. You also don't gain anything when you die as a scav, however as long as you're not the worst player in a free-for-all match, you have plenty to gain from not winning. Your attempt at being condescending and confident at the same time was pretty funny, though. 3/10 response.

Arena is 100% better for the game than scaving. Arena is character xp and leveling with a fixed amount of income to encourage people to actually play their PMC. Scaving is unlimited upside and flooding the economy with free loot to the point where thousands of players just fiddle with their stash all day between scav runs because it’s a win button. And early wipe the pscav count on maps is so high and the incentive to work together is built in so many players are fighting equally geared hordes of scavs 😂

I really don't mind the money transfer from Arena because you can easily make more on a scav raid especially when you are limited to 1-2 million ruble transfer every 24 hours what I really don't like is the XP transfer. It seems crazy to me that BSG would go through all this effort to make early wipe longer then absolutely obliterate the balance with Arena. They should just scrap the entire XP transfer system as it takes away from what is Tarkov. The most intense part of the wipe is levels 1-14, but if 90% of the players don't need to play that anymore then why include the level limit on the flea in the first place? It just further increases the difficulty for people who don't want to spend $250+ on a game which is completely valid. I'm sorry but I really don't agree with the "Spend more money, Make game easier" approach BSG seem to be employing. And if Arena does stay like this just remove the level limit for the flea as Arena already removes it, or you make Arena a free-to-play game. They added a bunch of quests with the Marathon stuff that also give so much XP for no real discernable reason other than they're new. Both of the games I played of marathon ended up with me and 2 buddies all getting killed by a cheater, I didn't get any messages about either of them getting banned but I know my 2 friends did.

Honestly Arena being F2P would be a great funnel for BSG to bring more players into Tarkov. The biggest thing that most people struggle with in Tarkov is the gunplay and combat systems. Anyone can roam around a map and loot.

They should scrap the XP transfer system only if they scrap the level 15 flea. It was level 5 in the past and the items you can buy and sell were way less restricted. It was way better back then. And Tarkov was also more popular back then. I don't think it's a coincidence. Tarkov's quest design is just bad, as much as I myself subjectively isn't against it, it's just objectively terrible. Marathon quests are more difficult than regular quests, that's why they award more exp. It's well-deserved. Nobody would be doing them if they didn't give good rewards. Even with good rewards not many people attempt it. It's basically "The Guide" but you can't access the stash between raids. And how many people complete that quest besides those who are going for Kappa?

@@ForOne814 You must be wearing an amazing pair of rose-tinted goggles. FIR flea and level-restricted flea was one of the best things to happen to this game. It actually extended the wipe very well, and I personally think they should've kept it at level 20. Tarkov's quest design is not bad, I think. It's the same as any other quest in any other game ever. I really don't get the hate outside of people who've gone for kappa every wipe. Having to replay them ever wipe does suck, but that's only twice per year at this point, and they still intend to have non-wiping servers as far as I know. Tarkov being more popular back then probably had more to do with lockdowns more than anything. It kinda just blew up out of nowhere, then streamers went and basically ruined the game.

No, they didn't, they didn't need it so much they stopped playing the game. That's why PvE is so popular - most people playing this game are bad at the game. I'm not saying the game should be easier, what it should be is less tedious. And it was less tedious in the past. It's also less tedious now than it was 2 wipes ago. Oh, and as a consequence of the flea market restrictions, the game becomes way easier to play if you're ahead, because what can a level 14 Timmy two weeks into the wipe do against my level 6 armor? Shoot my legs with his PST gzh? Back in a day he bought Vepr Hunter with some M61 and was able to actually attempt to do something. He was unlikely to succeed - the skill and experience still matters a lot, but he had a chance instead of not having it. It's not the streamers that ruined the game, it's the devs. The terrible early implementation of inertia, the constant recoil increases, the flea market restrictions. Where I blame the streamers for their feedback is the armor system, it was 10/10, they just didn't adapt their playstyle, they wanted to be able to tank all of the scav and Timmy shots, and BSG changed it to the worst implementation yet.

People forget that all the jobs they're going to stop humans from needing to do aren't just cushy office jobs. 3.7 million retail workers - another 3.3 million cashiers separately, 3.7 million fast food workers, 3 million laborers in freight/material movers, 2.9 million in stockers/order fillers, 3 million truck drivers, 2.4 million janitors, 1.4 million construction workers, 1.2 million maids/housekeepers, 1.2 million landscapers/groundskeepers, 900k farmers/ranchers/etc, 650k hand packers. There I chose jobs at least 95% of people would agree they don't want to do, 27.4 MILLION jobs or ~17% of the workforce from just the top ~40 jobs by employment that suck ass to work in physically.

The xp from the arena quests might be too much for how easy they are, but I don't mind being able to level up my pmc's combat skills or earn money from winning games cause making money in normal tarkov is already super easy, but its just boring in my opinion.

Aqua is just incredibly bad at making money in tarkov. In arena you probably average out to like, maybe 500k-800k roubles per hour as an average player, which you can frankly make in 5-10 mins on a single scav run.

I think you should differentiate his takes. You can argue whether you like Arena gameplay or not. But his second take, Arena being too OP to level base game tarkov while only being available for EOD or extra purchase can hardly be argued.

Arena is like any other game with a DLC. Of course they are going to give incentives for buying it. All this does is help casual players who have the money but not the time to not go broke dying every raid. It can also help new players practice gun fights. I would also like to add that if anything, this benefits the hardcore tarkov players. Cuz yea those that play arena will have access to more money and Ref's guns, but they are still going to get crapped on by the better players. So sorry some people dont want to get stuck trying to make money in scav runs due to dying to swests every raid, but not everyone that starts the game is not going to be a pro off the bat. Its a good practice environment.

The money and xp is easier and guaranteed in arena but all that does is benefit more casual players. Everyone who is good enough at the game can get the xp and money of arena, while also progressing quests. Its not better or worse than the base game its just another option.

Arena just gives you money and some xp. The entire progression of tarkov is in the quests. Being level 42 with 20mil roubles doesn't get you shit. You'll be broke from buying gear and ammo on the flea in a day or two if you are playing even 4 or 5 hours a day. If the quests wont change then money should be much easier to make.

I've had weird Arena interactions. I did like one or two raids on my PMC, then did an Arena raid and the XP transferred from Arena to my PMC-- but then the next day I did Arena again for a couple hours hoping to push to level 15, and none of the XP transferred over. The only thing I can think is that I did some Scav runs before Arena that day, so my thought is that maybe the Arena XP went onto my Scav? I have no idea. Just a thought.

@@radam1198 That's the thing, it worked fine at first. Like I did a PMC raid, then I did some Arena. I'm pretty sure I did ranked to begin with and got XP no problem. But then the next day I went to do more Arena, and didn't get XP. It was pretty odd because I was obviously already "linked". That's why I thought maybe the XP went to my Scav, because I did a Scav run before hopping on Arena.

It's a known issue with the current linking system. Only fix i've found is to play a game of arena, close the game after the match, clear the cache for both arena then tarkov, then boot up tarkov and it should sync back-up.
