would just like to say that i started watching woohoojin around when boomer to diamond started. i was silver 1 0rr at that point, and had massive ranked anxiety. i want to thankl jpc and woohoojin so much for this series, it motivated me to start actively trying to improve at valorant, and did i ever. over the course of the last 5 months, ive climbed 900rr as of hitting diamond today. ive received no coaching other than watching woohoojins videos and have played 2 games for probably >95% of the past 5 months. thank you so much woohoojin, i cant wait to keep climbing, and glhf to jpc!!

I wasn’t anticipating this episode to have a large discourse over Chamber and Reyna. At the beginning before I heard any of your points when you said “Chamber is unhealthy for the game” I really just rolled my eyes but then after you gave your points I found it fascinating how you literally changed my mind. It would be a really cool concept if you (or someone else) considered doing a stream or video dedicated to theoretically reworking “selfish” agents like Chamber and Reyna to make them non-selfish would be worth paying to watch.

I like the idea of priming Reyna dismiss. I think maybe they could make her need to prime heal or dismiss (maybe able to do both?) and give her an extra charge (maybe), while keeping them as is when she’s in ult?

you can’t just nerf reyna’s only actual good abilities and make them be primed. People seem to forget that you can only use these abilities after winning a gunfight, the entire point is being rewarded for winning dry gunfights. Jett dash nerf adding the prime, made way more sense because of the sheer mobility and movement her kit gives, along with one of the best ults in the game (additionally, you can use Jett’s abilities whenever you want and don’t need to get kills to use them). Reyna has one of the worst ults in the game, and the worst duelist flash; but everyone wants her 2 main abilities have to be primed now? these takes are so unbelievably bad. Not everyone plays with a full stacked team of competent people all on discord chat; solo queue would be fucking unplayable without reyna. I see the argument that she is bad for the game in an organized or pro play setting, but please realize that is not the game experience for 99.9% of the players and you can’t balance around that small of a proportion of the population

For Chamber, post plant you can place trip inside of spike and swing off of break/trip anyone can swing team wise. Although KJ CAN do something similar, Chamber trip inside of spike is SUPER hard to see. Attack setups with Chamber as a team play is a bit difficult though.

Week 2 of getting to plat by the end of the act. I played a bunch of games at the start of the week but stopped midway through. Some of these lobbies are filled with plat and higher players so I think the game wants me to rank up, but I still can't frag out a lot and get many kills. This was shown to me when I played premier. I was the average rank of our team, yet I bottom fragged twice :(

-reduce chambers tp range to 2m so he basically is forced to stand on it amd essentially hold an angle as his character was designed for a sniper -give him back two teleports, slightly reduced range from each other to roughly the size of an average bomb site -change placement of tp mechanic, it now spawns under the location he is currently on and cant be placed unless chamber is physically on that spot -optionally they could in addition to all these changes give chamber a passive ability like being able to vault or go probe or smt around the idea of mixing up his head level since he is basically a standing target now keep everything else the same

I 100% agree with you but we cant forget both agents can still call plays with other teamate so if the right person used the agents it can be very good. Though they can’t get plays called with them they can call plays with team.

This is actually one of the biggest challenges I have with only playing 2 games a day 24 hours apart from each other. I don't get as many reps at situations where I can immediately remember. Every single focus that I have and often go holding has been deprioratized for a couple of items over the last 3 to 4 sessions. A way to use a chamber in a team enviroment is to ask him the following "hey chamber, can i use you as bait? Just stay in the open and tp when you see them, that's where i'll peek and attempt a kill on the distracted enemies" basically you trade chamber but the enemy team get's scammed of the kill

i saw a chamber play where a trip was placed n the hallway into hookah on bind and then a raze nade could be thrown into tp and it would be really difficult to dodge since the chamber trip slowed, that's all I can think of for a good chamber play

I don't think the Jett approach of pressing the button before doing something works across the board. They should have left chambers 2 tps and made it so if he moves at all he cant teleport until he stands still for like 2 seconds. Encourages sentinel/off angle fights and removes the ability to push with it and use it as a get out of jail free card. Now its in a weird in between where the problem isn't fixed but his util is just not good for either so he is not good.

i really hope riot isnt afraid to constantly test agent reworks on test server. Reyna and Chamber would need complete changes to their core kits though. My ideas for possible reworks for Reyna are below: I'm thinking Reyna's Leer should have a bit of movement to it after being casted at its targeted location, a split second of gridshot as a nearsight is not a reasonable piece of utility right now. If the blind maintains LOS with an enemy for near-full duration, maybe the enemy could be marked for a short time, like a Fade Haunt and Gekko Dizzy hybrid. If the marked target dies in any way in a given amount of time (by teammates, by Reyna, by themselves or fall damage etc), Reyna gets another charge for her leer. However these changes would make the leer extremely strong, so to compensate, the blind charges could be lowered to 1. Devour/Dismiss are very one dimensional, problematic abilities. Similar to Phoenix's Controller/Duelist hybrid (since they both lack movement/inherent space making abilities), and in line with Reyna's "Soul" theme, Dismiss could be replaced by a sort of area-denial Deathly Rose ability that, when thrown into an area, greatly lowers enemy health instantly if they enter it during its duration, but any taken health is returned after the duration is over. Think about it like a Fade Seize but without the requirement of enemies needing to be in the area WHEN it hits; rather like a molly that cannot kill but makes certain angles very punishing to hold. This challenges things like Tree on Ascent A, and makes her entry potential and selflessness more viable, without overshadowing things like actual nades/mollies/shocks that have true kill ability. Only 1 charge, no refreshes. Devour should be able to be claimed by teammates if you allow it. For example, Reyna kills one and their soul orb drops. She presses Q to CLAIM the overheal, then can press Q again to use it on herself, or F on a teammate to give it to them. Only 1 charge, no refreshes. Makes decision making and selflessness crucial, in the moment - while also not overshadowing Skye and Sage healing power. Empress should retain its stat buffs (+25% Equip speed, +15% Fire rate, +25% Reload speed, +25% Recovery speed for 30 seconds), but not the Dismiss/Devour ones. Instead, the entire team obtains these buffs, but they are not refreshed if a kill is made. This fails to overshadow Brimstone combat stim because, well, it's an ult - but more importantly, it fails to overshadow Kayo Null /CMD because of the lack of ability suppression (and the fact that Kayo only gets downed during his ult). This would turn Reyna ult into a very strong tempo-changing ult, although it probably should be increased to 7 points instead of 6. Overall, I think these would make Reyna weaker as a pubstomp, frags only agent (no get out of jail free card, only 1 heal), and allow more teamplays to be made off of her utility, while still keeping some element of self-sufficiency in her kit.

Wooj I'm Gold already but I still gave your Get Gold in a Month regimen a try to ensure I have minimal lapses with my gunfight hygiene. I noticed that the Medium Bot overflick is more difficult than the 110 bpm metronome but the way you've talked about it to your students like JPC and Darshan is that the 110 metronome is supposed to be harder, but in my case I really find the Medium Bot overflick then move exercise much harder. Why is this the case for me? Is there something I might have glossed over?

So the conversation on chamber got me thinking on how to "fix" his character, i think that if you made so that when he would tp away, he didnt just insta tp but like, kinda disapeared into a wirng on the ground that would transport him to his tp thing at like slightly faster than running rate. So you can changw his gun to more support orineted that can still kill, just not a lt 1 shot

i see chamber/reyna as meepo in dota 2 (idk bout now, definitely back in 17' when i grinded). all the account boosters use meepo since 1) meepo hogs all the resources in the map, not relying on their team but his own skill 2) get his items and levels way ahead of any hero in the game; snowball 3) dies 1 time without buyback and the game ends bec the whole team is underfarmed and level gap 4) rarely picked in pro play bec the greedy nature of the hero this only worked til a certain rank since higher ranks can work around meepo picks. reyna/chamber requires a skilled player but little to nothing offered in team play

i'm bronze so i have no idea if this'd actually be a good change or not, but if they ever rework chamber again I'd love to see his kit center around his slow-fields more. like, what if his deagle was significantly nerfed, but when you shot the ground it'd deploy a slow field there. that way there's actual room for your team to play off of it, and if the chamber wants to keep an area slowed he has to stay nearby and keep shooting the spot, further encouraging him to play a biiit more like a sentinel. idunno. might be a terrible idea, but i'd really just love to see chamber's guns have their own identity instead of just being stronger versions of existing weapons, and i think a weird gimmick like this might help with that. although at this point it might be better to just delete him and make a new agent instead lmao

All of the angles that jett can play doesnt require her to pop his dash, she can just not do it and do shit like updraft smoke and then pop dash and dash out. Imagine Chamber now you have a tp that can be destroyed and can be mostly used once and even after all of that you cant really take agressive angles anymore since his tps range is even lower than like jett dash or even a good satchel. He can only be played in certain maps with lots of corners since he can at least get a little bit agressive angles to hold. And he has a worse alarmbot. His headhunter is basically a sheriff that can be pulled out a little faster and his ultimate ability is just an op that doesnt have a 100 percent accuracy while moving unlike jett. Anyone that sincerely think chamber needs a nerf would be delusional at this point. Agree with the selfish agent part tho. Not more selfish than reyna tho at least in defence he can anchor a site with op or some shit. And in offense can hold flank.

I have lost 4 games where I was 1 game off diamond, after the 4th loss I got so tilted I stopped trying and now im plat 2 and uninstalled the game. Best thing that could have ever happened to me, this game is just a mindless grind to rank up, you need to play well enough to have 51% winrate or more and the rest is just spamming games endlessly. Waste of time.

I love this Chamber discussion and I wish I was there for the stream. I was (am) a Jett main and I absolutely hated his meta because it was so much more boring, especially for pro play (as much as I loved Yay Chamber), but you needed to play him to have impact. He was also released after the Jett nerf so the fact that they looked at her and nerfed her but still released this broken agent without a second thought was crazy. I think playing him helped my growth as a player but I still resent how long his meta was. Also, screw Reyna; remove her from the game entirely and there would be no loss.

I have been watching your videos and I honestly feel like I have so much potential. My brothers are peak ascendant for one and peak immortal for the other. I don’t really play that much and started taking the game a little more seriously I’m plat 3 and they are diamond 2 I que with them regularly and perform very well. However I noticed I lack so much on movement, decision making, going on autopilot I never comm and my cross hair placement can be a bit finicky since I’m not familiar and don’t have much hours on some maps so I tend to aim high or a bit low from time to time and get a lot of body shots. I do have 1 question though because it’s the only one I haven’t seen asked so far on any video I have watched. I tend to lose sight of my crosshair a lot I’ve used a variety of colors and crosshairs and it seems to always happen making me hit a lot of body shots. It’s always when I get in gunfights when it kind of just gets lost. Any tips?

Tell the cypher to trip inside of a smoke to clear an angle and the trip will go off. Do it all the time and makes people mald 😜 you throw it right before teammates push into the smoke

8:08 I know in your discord you say no reyna vods and I agree with your reasoning of not a lot of util to use and she’s not very team oriented like you go on to say in this video too. I play reyna a lot and I’m currently diamond one and I have started to slow down with the match and team mvps so I don’t think I should continue playing her as much as I do. I’d like to get my stuff reviewed but at the moment I feel uncomfortable playing other agents in comp and could lean towards sentinels or either group of initiators. Any thoughts from anyone?

What if they rework Reyna dismiss so you have to press it before going into the fight but when you get a kill she automatically dismisses so that way you have to decide before going into fight between using that orb for dismiss or heal yourself. Because if you insta dismiss that way you can't heal yourself.

What I meant was that after we charge the dismiss we don't get to press it again after we get a kill she automatically dismisses herself so we have to choose before we get into a fight whether or not are we going to dismiss right away or heal ourselves and so that way we can change our playstyle accordingly.

Alright I got an idea for chambers kit that might be good. What if we change his kit a little bit and we combine his ult and pistol to be the same thing. The pistols bullets would be your ultimate orb stacks so that whenever you use your pistol you lose ult orbs to get kills with the pistol. Then with the extra ability we have free we make a new ability that is like kj Molly where you place it down and are able to activate it again later, except instead of it being a molly it's a flash and I think he should be able to put it on walls and stuff. So that he could have utility to combine with his trip. Maybe that way you could combine his utility with teamares as well.
