So played in my first all diamond lobby as a lowly gold 2 player yesterday. I didn't top frag by any means, but I held my own. It just felt so gratifying to finally feel like my MMR is starting to catch up and match with how much I've been improving. I originally hit gold before discovering Hooj, but have been feeling a bit stuck for a while. But I was watching a dopai coaching vod this morning he was coaching a d2 Skye and pointing out all these mistakes and it was exactly like my game. As lower ranked players we tend to convince ourselves that we can't "hang with the big boys" but I freaking proved it yesterday! Also side note I still love playing chamber even after the nerfs, feels freaking amazing using headhunter to SIT DOWN a diamond 3 Reyna, insane ego boost for sure. Thanks for the video hooj, when I have a bit more time and get to plat expect some vods from me to start showing up at the raffle! Happy Monday all

A while ago, I actually played in a full plat lobby on Fade as a silver player, it felt amazing to go positive and my focus and aim was through the roof. Sometimes when you're thinking that this is a huge opportunity to get better and play against people vastly more experienced than you it really makes something click. Congrats on having a great game there man ^^

I feel like I always play so much better in higher ranked lobbies, its like I focus more and try hard to match their level. Its a fun challenge and gives me more confidence in my games for sure

Instead of being frustrated I told myself that riot thinks I belong in diamond and is testing me. I didn’t top frag but I have a positive impact on the games and now I’m 1 game from diamond!

I am an apex player and have reached predator for 2 seasons and master multiple times, just get started on playing valorant due to my friends and first time of me playing games like this and have barely touched csgo or similar games where you have to stand still to get perfect accuracy. Your teaching and videos helped me out a lot on learning the idea of the game and just 2 weeks in with my friends l have already reached plat. @@lambpuppy435 here's what I do to warm up before going to ranked -practice bots I just one tap them while focusing on moving my crosshair horizontally I do this for 3~5 min -eliminate 50 -medium bots 5x where I try to get 25 -3 dm one where I focus on tracking the enemies head Another one where I use my main weapon and focus on movement and last one is just to train a weapon like sheriff

Would absolutely love more series like Boomer to Diamond where you coach “talentless” Valorant players who main different roles up to Diamond. Like how JPC is mainly a controller main, would love to see your approach to coaching duelists (you mentioned being a Jett main your first climb to Radiant), initiators since you’re currently learning them, and lastly sentinels (this one’s easy, lock whichever meta breaking sentinel is currently trending and hold site LOL). Just thought it’d be a cool idea.

I dont think Region matters, BUT, I do believe that NA probably has the upper hand when it comes to comms, since in NA its less likely to have entire teams that dont speak english. Whereas in EU I do come across a lot of people who barely, if even at all, speak english since there are so many languages spoken in Europe. So if u get a 4 russians in your team in with only one of them understanding english, you are going to have a hard time comminicating.
