Giving you all the tools to make harming potions by using the dripstone creatively, but not letting you die with them seems pointlessly mean. It's like they wanted to have a red herring, but instead of leaving out something you would need to do it, they just made an actual alternative solution and then disabled it for no reason.

I don't like it when maps just "admin-lockout" possible solutions. Don't supply the player with the possibility to go for that solution then, this is just unnecessarily frustrating.

Eh, I say it's valid here because the alternative is never giving the player enough blocks to tower up for fall damage and never giving the player gravity blocks, both of which severely limit the possibilities for puzzles to use. The ender pearl one is just weird though. Like, I get that the intended solution for the last one is to have the player make an end crystal to explode themselves, but you could just give them an eye of ender.

@@toastr1255 I get the fall damage one. Just give the player constant feather falling. Also I think they wanted to prevent the player soft locking themselves by using the eye of ender, which I don't see as a problem because there's a reset option for each level...

On level 8, you could have died a whole lot faster. Not all the parkour blocks are bedrock. Some were deepslate. If you break those, silverfish will spawn and kill you. But it's too late now an you probably won't even see this. Lol.

At this point, the reminder that 'animals are fully capable of being a-holes' being necessary seems like there's been _excessive sheltering_ in terms of what they're known to be responsible for doing--to people, _and_ each other. Animals can be great; gentler than their respective species' reputations would suggest. Animals are also terrible; either knowingly, or unknowingly committing terrible atrocities as, and when, they please. The reasons don't matter. Failing to remember that even the cute ones can be dangerous is a very naive, and lackadaisical way to be, not to mention disrespectful on a certain level of what you might be facing. Even domestic animals should be approached with respect, regardless of their temperaments.

Can't say I blame him though, that section of the map is intentionally designed to play mind tricks with you and keep you distracted/occupied such that you don't check your inventory by offering the solution so close yet so far away, not to mention the conversation he had regarding the level made him get tunnel vision thinking there was some way to solve the maze

51:00 - Not gonna lie, I knew they damaged you easily - but I didn't know they damaged *THAT* easily. I booted up a world just to test this in basic minecraft and yes, they do in fact harm your toes even when you just jump on them. I honestly don't know why I never noticed that when I've harvested so many stacks of them across different worlds/servers/packs... but yep.
