This particular aircraft has touched the lives of so many people, now the culmination of so much hard dedicated work has come together for the magical moment of flight, you could not have hoped for more Mikey because history has been made, aviation is such a close knit community as this proves in many ways. All we ask now is that DTD is never allowed to get into the state she was in ever again dumped in that field abandoned, allow her to flex her wings and take her to Oshkosh for all to see and decide her future all in good time, who knows perhaps one day in the future she will form the centrepiece of a Buffalo museum ? Nobody knew how powerful these episodes would be,but one thing is for sure and that is they have inspired many people to do similar things because you had that vision to start Plane Savers,Bravo !

I'm going to say this now rather than the 6th what you have there isn't just a plane it's a memory. It's roared it's way through history seeing the horror of war and the adventures of peace. Took men to fight and children on adventures. Protected it's pilots and inspired new ones. It is my sincere hope that on the 6th the culmination of these memories and adventures serve to keep you safe and repay the work you put into this aircraft to allow her to keep making memories for years and generations to come. May those engines roar and lift that bird as it's lifted your hearts in her rescue.
