Also in Hinduism there are 4 ashrams in life.. 1) brahmacharya - student 2) grihastha- householder 3) vanaprastha- retired and 4) sanyasi- renunciate. To experience the joys of any one you have to fully live the other one . Most people these days are having affairs and live- in relationships( which I am not saying is bad) but they can not fully understand the value if you haven't felt the lack of it at any point of time .

I absolutely love Subhguru, but this depends on one's situation. One answer to a situation doesn't define what's best for everyone. We need to be able to determine what's best on an individual basis. My friend has been married to a man who she loves but the relationship doesn't have an inkling of intimacy. Her husband knows that she will have someone else that will satisfy her needs and I'm not just talking about physically. Holding someone's hand is a form of intimacy. Should she divorce her husband who loves her but lacks intimacy of any sort during the entire marriage or she and her husband have an understanding in the marriage that her needs as a woman are met elsewhere? Individual choices between her, her God, her husband, and her situation. No secrets! One answer doesn't always suits everyone's situation.
