Cool Cool, I have heard it so many times, the other day I was cooking breakfast and said cool cool a few times and I was not even thinking photography. This might be the #1 catch phrase of the channel. Also I have learned to do white background 1 light photography , but doing it on a Cyc wall is cool and different then I have done it. I got to use a 1.9m Elinchrom Octa on a much smaller cyc.

Hope all is well and everyone is loving life and that the studio…keeps active, providing creative fun. Share the studio with the model, won’t you (please?). Let her feel. Hello. You both are awesome. Love the work. Thank you for showing and answering question on how real photographers work. Question for Bec. Maybe this does not go here. Bec. you say not a model. But you are working with one of the best photographers in the world. How can you do not a model. Question for Peter. How do you or when did you find your confidence to know how to tell models what you are looking for and describing what you want in a photo?

“Nice catch”… of Ana and Peter’s images and inspiring work 🤩. I assume, Ana has perfect skin. However: Do your models use a special skin lotion or so to cover skin imperfections and they might recommend something? Just asking, because, specially on resolution higher than 24 megapixel, fine blood vessels in the legs of the models (even well trained and perfectly in shape) are emphasised, looking ugly. Converting color to black and white that’s no problem, it can easily be fixed with a black and white adjustment layer in Affinity Photo or Photoshop or already in ACR or Capture One. On colour images it must be fixed by frequency separation. Would save a lot of work if that could be avoided already at the shooting. Appreciate each feedback!

Back when I was 17, a lecturer explain difference between high and low key is that with high key the histogram is predominantly to the right, and low key is predominantly to the left. Clipping the highlights or shadows does not make a tpicture high key or low key :) I hope that helps, thanks heaps.
