“You’d think after all this time I’d be ready. But look at me, stretching one moment out into a thousand. Just so that I can watch the snow.” I don’t know why this line hits me in the feels as hard as it does, but something is so poetic about it. I love this sene.

Maybe it's because it reiterates one of life's central truths: there is no real getting ready for the end. She had centuries to prepare and yet, as she poetically points out, she still doesn't want to go just yet.

"It's not about you." The way she says that is so powerful. You can see it immediately humble Dr. Strange. It's almost as if right then and there he becomes the mature wizard we see in Infinity War.

And she solidified it with her performance in Endgame. Dr. Strange is an under appreciated MCU film.

This scene has a special place in my heart. Unlike other MCU heroes, Strange has serious mommy issues as opposed to the usual daddy issues. And this is the scene in which he tells his mother figure goodbye. It saddens him as much as any of his other losses (hands, job, Rachel) but it's also the one that lets him see what he needs to be.

This is my favorite scene from Dr. Strange.

Glad someone finally did this scene-one of my very favorites! I would have done it myself had I ever done a video essay before. Part of this scene is a great summary of one of the driving forces between normal people and heroes, and gives Strange his choice. It’s reminiscent of Spider-Man’s motivations (“with great power...” or the MCU’s version as articulated in Civil War.

This feels like the harbinger for Dr. Strange's later decision to look into the multiplicity of possible futures that would/could be played out in Endgame...and of course he also gets to "play" later in this movie with Dormamu in a very visceral sense. That experience of course allowed him to reach into the understanding that we create our lives in the mind long before we live through the day itself. Layers and layers here and a brilliant choice of scenes. Thank you for sharing with us.

As she is dying, the Ancient One mentions that she had foreseen all of her possible futures which all lead to her death and no further; she then tells Strange that she also saw all the possibilities of his future. It is most evident that she had used the time stone to calculate the possible futures for herself and for Strange, for, in Avengers: Infinity War (2018), Strange himself used the time stone to foresee all the possible futures regarding their war against Thanos.

everyone should be able to choose a marvelous scene from each movie instead of the whole entire MCU...there are just so many great scenes in each of them and is not fair for any fan to only choose one among them

And Martin Scorsese, big man in Hollywood, famed and lauded director and producer, doesn’t think Marvel movies are real films. Thank GOD he doesn’t get to choose. Otherwise, we’d never have scenes like these, and the world would be the lesser for it.

It's unfortunate it's not out on DVD so they can't easily pull clips from it. It'd be a pretty tough to do write a good episode where it's just voiceover and clips from promo videos especially if the moment chosen isn't from one of the trailers.
