I can agree, my local (Labour) MP agrees with / backs the IHT on farms stating it will have effect on farmers in her area. 1 estate / small holding £4.5 million, just for land, others near by (normal size) $7.5M to £11M, just for land / house (may not be be in the constituency, but gives a good guide on farmland value in the area). So, if IHT comes in, the small estate will probaly end up being sold off for housing.

There will be no real support to help the older people and disabled into work. I recently became unemployed for the first time in 25+ years and, my God, what a terrible experience "signing on" has been so far. There's absolutely no respect for the fact you've contributed well over 100K in taxes during previous employment for example. And you're expected to get by on less than a tenner a day, all the while being threatened with sanctions, a 30% cut to the payment, if you're not doing enough to find work in their opinion. It's an ugly draconian system that exudes negativity, opting for the stick rather than the carrot when dealing with the citizens. There are also more security guards than job centre employees, and they're not particularly friendly either! Just another example of how sh*te our society has become.

It showed on the books that we were paid but every penny was loaned back to the business. Yeah, we got to pay income taxes on money that never made it to our bank account. Liberal governments don't work for those of us who work, they appear to want to only make laws that benefit the leaches so that they can control them. @@angieunderwood1576 How much longer is King Charles going to ignore it? This petition should have been addressed to the Monarch. He was well enough to go to Australia so a crisis of confidence in the government should be addressed by HM in my opinion.
