Why did you have to go to training in Phoenix, they don’t have training in Columbus? How long did you stay in phoenix?

It wasn’t no female trainer available in Columbus and 2 weeks but it’s normally a month of training. It’s goes off your trainer if they feel like you ready or not.

Miles just haven't been the same for a while. Used to get 3000 a week, easily. Abbot in Virginia to salt lake city? That is an easy one. Try to keep away from the yards when you need tires or break down. That's what takes time. They are short on mechanics. You can sit in their yard for 2 days waiting on a tire. Get your home time put in when you go back out. I was staying out 4 weeks and taking 5 days off. Run split sleeper on pick up and delivery days, some of the times sitting is way too long.

I'm happy they're working out for you.. I worked for knight from Aug to Oct 2020... Almost scared me away from trucking! Not saying they're bad people, but nothing me and my recruiter talked about happened 😭😂 plus the 2 times they pulled me in for truck service, my truck ran worse each time!! Oh well .. part of the game.. keep trucking!!!

Keep up the good work driver! I started driving in 1995 for a company out of Oklahoma City that's not business anymore, but I got off the road and I started driving local and then after the years went by, now I'm going back to what I used to do because I missed the road so bad. A lot of rules have changed as far as rules of service but it's still the same old thing. I know back in 1995 they didn't have very many pretty women like you driving 🤣🤣

I’m considering knight, swift declined me and was like oh there was an issue with your background check something on the reports didn’t match what was on your application, I’m like what was it and they’re like we can’t see exactly what it is but you can get the reports we get and see what’s wrong🙄🙄 I requested the reports and reviewed them, the only thing I saw was on the report from Work Number where 1 of the companies I worked for put my time with them as 2 different companies. This caused the time with them to look shortened down to 11 months and this making it look like I left off a company and was missing like a year and half of the 10 year history 😳😳.

I’ve been told that these companies will hire new drivers coming in for their CDL training as long as you have a clean background…..I thought Swift was one of them….why are they so worried about work history and your situation was stupid on their part…..10 year work history means absolutely nothing if you’re coming in as a new student learning how to drive a Truck and going through the CDL training program

I have my class A w/ my hazmat and tanker and I have my Twic card, those should’ve been their only concerns but they wanted to be petty and get hung up on some minor detail on job history 🤦🏽‍♀️

Something similar happen to me w/ swift. They literally hired me the day before orientation they declined the offer saying i haven’t been with a company for a year but I’ve been w/ my current company for over a year but work history very good, plus the jobs had nothing to do w/ trucking lol, i thought that was weird.

Just gotta do your research cause it’s companies out there. I never did sales but it’s definitely gone be a difference lol. Way way less interaction with people. Trucking is peaceful to me. If your on Amazon account yes we get weekly guarantee of 1,200 if you on 4/6 split schedule or 1,400 if you on 6 day split schedule So that 1,200 or 1,400 include if you on break down or no tours (loads) but you always make sure than that cause of miles and $17 per stop. No kids or dogs on this account but it’s so many different account so once you get called back ask them.

Knight is awful. In phoenix there were 2 TWO people in their training class as one didnt show up then I went with another company so then they were down to one student and one trainer lol. There is a guy there who calls himself "Buddy Boone". He says he is a retired cop, retired combat medic for the military AND a retired Chief of security for Dillards. LOL not sure how he managed all of that then ended up a truck driver. Knight use to be a good company but since they merged with Swift its gone down hill fast. They dont even pay for training anymore, Buddy got rid of all of that, we were the last class but I left anyways and went to another company that does pay to train you.
