what if angle shooter got a small damage bonus for each time it ricocheted off a wall? that could be really fun it would reward you for actually using its unique ricochet mechanic, and weapons like jet squelcher that are just out of range of a useful combo threshold would have a clear use for it its pretty easy to hit 1 bounce off the floor for a slight boost and hitting 3+ bounce combos would make for some CRAZY clips

Same! Reef-lux is NOT a picky weapon, it only needs a bomb with any kind of special could work (maybe even reef, but I take ANY aggro special) All you really need to run for saving is 1 sub of recovery up and some res, it's NOT picky

After the new update added in some weapons to show off the potential of beakon and cooler, it made me realize just how broken the combination actually is. It essentially means your team can get wiped and have it not matter at all. It's sad that dapples is what got it, so I'd love a more midline weapon like squelchers to get it, especially since their ink efficiency means they get less use out of subs than other weapons

The dapple dualies is actually the most mobile weapon because of this, I main this weapon and the kit works perfectly for dapples, a very aggressive slayer playstyle that doesn't lose much by dying and can return to the battle fast, its not broken but balanced by the weapon's range.

I think it would be interesting to do basically the opposite of this video and try to figure out what kits would be the worst for each weapon. Obviously you could just slap angle shooter reef and stamp on everything and call it a day, but it would be more interesting to try and figure out what just doesn't synergize well assuming the game has perfect balance.

Those are good synergystic kits but they aren’t perfect, stuff like Kraken on Jet Squelcher isn’t what the weapon wants, I’d give it Zipcaster so it would be able to play off its various angles and be really interesting. As for a worst kit I’d probably give it either Ink Mine since it’s not really that susceptible to flanks like an Eliter or Splatling would so it wouldn’t sinergize that well or at all imho, and as special Kraken or Reefslider, assuming perfect Special Balance, then perhaps Kraken since it would require the weapon to play more aggressively to get any value out of it and then it would have to retreat to not be in an unfavorable position when the duration runs out, further decreasing the value of the Special, and if we assume you’re the only backliner then that would mean the team now lacks an anchor because you’re in kraken form, and for longer than a Reefslider would, it would also be worse defensively than Reefslider (again assuming the Specials are pretty balanced, because again you’re not really that susceptible to flanks and if u used it as panic button the enemy will just ignore you and stop the flanks, he’s already gotten value by displacing you, a Reefslider would be better because it lasts shorter and it would threaten the flanker more than Kraken imho. So yeah that’s it for worst kit, Ink Mine and Kraken on Jet Squelcher, pretty useless. Since I’m a Flingza main I’ll also do another for this one, so Ink Mine doesn’t synergize that much already, sure it helps with the hitmarkers but it requires your opponent to approach and since the Flingza is already pretty good at preventing flanks Ink Mine is pretty redundant, and it’s not an offensive Sub that lets it combo like a Burst Bomb (60 damage which combos really well with the 40 damage at max range of the vertical spray) or Torpedo would, now since Flingza likes to flank once it gets Special like Missiles because they’re forced to retreat and if they approach instead that’s exactly what you want since they’re more likely to get in range of your oneshot, I’d give it a defensive special instead, I was thinking Ink Storm but it combos decently so nvm, all the Specials are pretty much decent on Flingza so I’d say Killer Wail is probably the least useful one, sure it still lets you combo and see enemies but that’s it for synergy, if it was more balanced it would probably get a slight damage buff or something so imho it would be the least useful, so in the end Flingza with Ink Mine and Wail 5.1 is what I’d say is the least useful kit.

Personally the kit I want to see on Tetra Dualies is Point Sensor + Super Chumps. Tetra doesn't really need a lethal sup, so I think the information gathering of sensor would let it better take fights, and support it's team. Likewise chumps would be an insane tool to fight with, as well as letting your team push up.

I actually think a great kit for Explosher is Angle Shooter Ink Vac. It's already proven to work well off of location, and it can also use Angle Shooter to combo off a 90 damage slosh. As for ink vac, explosher has always had the issue of being pretty much just a splat zones niche, so ink vac is to give it a use in the non-zones mode since it can protect the rainmaker carrier, tower, or power clam carrier.

I would personally prefer the burst bomb or the torpedo for the Reef-lux since most of the time, the charged shot would hit with only two projectiles, so the burst bomb could quickly finish someone and the torpedo on the other hand if you prefer, would distract the enemy to hit more shots and take an advantage, as well as dealing additional damages to kill easier

I think that Tri-stringers perfect special is Wave-Breaker but I think that fizzy bomb would be better for it. Fizzy gives it a trail to follow like curling bomb but also will more easily add on some damage so that bows shots will easily take people out. Just imagine a Bow shooting at you with a fizzy bomb and wave breaker giving backup and additional damage.

Yeah, I really hope that tri-stringer gets either torpedo or fizzy, and wave breaker or rain. You could argue burst bomb is a more consistent damage combo, but I think bow wants a sub that gives it other utility first, with the kill combo being an extra of both subs. I'd also like a point sensor kit, because like explo, bow is one of few weapons that would benefit hugely from having point sensor location info. Hell it's one of the only weapons that regularly runs thermal ink, because having that information is huge.

Honestly the Nouveau kit for the Dapples is not bad at all. The main thing it has against it is that the Tetra Dualies have functionally the same kit and are more competitively viable so nobody ever talks about the Dapples Nouveau. It's unfortunate. Heck, I'd argue that the vanilla Dapples have a killer kit given the right situation. Tacticooler to go aggressive and respawn instantly, and Squid Beakons to super jump back into the fight, allowing you and your team to get literally fully wiped out and get back in like nothing happened. Too bad Dapples just aren't the weapon people want to use.

I would personally love a suction bomb on hydra. Because of its zoning potential the SB could help give the hydra some space to charge in emergencies. It’s high ink cost would also lead to interesting decision making for the ink hungry hydra if losing most of your ink tank is actually feasible from a long term standpoint. That along with big bubbler would give the hydra ways into contesting chargers with a risky option for dealing with assassination attempts that would leave its combat potential cribbled for a few seconds

My dream kit for Tri-Stringer without a doubt is Burst Bomb Kraken, but tbh I think Burst Bomb/Super Chump could end up being a thing, and would be pretty strong. Burst bomb is obvious, no need to explain there but Chump could actually allow the weapon to HIDE ITS SHOTS behind the chumps, and with the explosion range, that could net some sneaky kills while also doing everything else that the special already does.

If you super jump to the super chumps you launched, your dodge rolls an prevent you from getting hit when you land, and can help you fight when you land (Also beakon and super chump sound like a good combo)

I dunno about that Octobrush kit. I won’t deny that it’s certainly good, and I won’t complain if it’s what we get, but it’s not really the best one. Either splat bomb or burst bomb paired with Trizooka would probably fit better IMO. And for the Sheldon’s Pick, give us a replica of what the Octolings used in singleplayer and give it Autobomb and Inkjet. (As for the name, I’d just call it the ‘Octotek Octobrush’ to differentiate it.) And as for the E-Liter kit, I mean I’d object over the sub not being a self defense option like burst or splat bombs, but c’mon, we both know that Nintendo is going to refuse to give us Liter players even the slightest form of self defense. Nor will they give us the 3-5% range buff we need. It is what it is, though.

So as someone who uses heavy a lot, one strategy I use to counter chargers is to wait behind cover while fully revved up for them to fire and then I attack them. It will either pin them down or splat them. Also if heavy needs anything for its third kit I would like to see wall as it’s sub.

Splattershot Jr. w/ burst bomb and Tacticooler. Burst bomb on Jr. will still be able to be aggressive and fend off enemies, and tacticooler is still a supportive special, and can be used for trades, for distracting, or being aggressive with the ability to come back in almost an instant.

I think that a good splatana stamper kit would be splash wall and kraken. The splash wall could be used to to protect yourself while you send slashes and could even be used as a support wall while kraken can let you in + it combos with the charge slash or 2 normal slashes

ok this might seem insane but, i think that line marker is a perfect fit for tri-stringer. This weapon specializes in long range chip damage and there are times where you hit 2 of the arrows but your target is barely able to get away, having a line marker can help you secure those kills and the location effect can also help you to hit you shots. For the special i think inkstorm would work really well, being a throw and forget type of thing that combos with additional chip damage

I really want that blob kit. The wall would let you get close enough to have an impact while staying safe and chump could help you and your team push up by making a field of mini walls

A kit I would absolutely love for Big Swig is Torpedo and Zipcaster. A torpedo would allow it to get in and kill enemies with vertical flicks while also working as a combo with it’s horizontal flicks. Zipcaster would work incredibly well because Big Swig has an insane amount of control when it has the higher ground. It’s veritcal flicks can still allow it to kill pretty quickly upclose, but it still is easily punishable if you’re not too close to it due to it’s horizontal flicks not doing as much damage.

As an Octobrush main, that Autobomb/Kraken kit is YES. ABSOLUTELY YES. Only thing that might make it better would be Torpedo instead of Autobomb, but that kit would go so hard, especially in Clams.
