The absence of blood on their clothing should have cleared them. How can Linda Fairstein say some of them were striking her in her head, yet they had no blood on them? Juries need to stop believing that only guilty people confess. We've seen so many examples of false confessions.

That’s what I’m sayin! If I’m the defense I would hammer that point all the way home! Trisha Meili’s white shirt was drenched dark red! The only way those boys could rape her is if they levitated over her body and raped her supernaturally. What was alleged was physically impossible.

Those boys were "worked over" by those crooked scumbag cops, into giving false statements, and implicating. each other, and themselves. They were not informed of their rights, deprived of water, food, sleep, threatened, physically assaulted, for hours, the cops and the prosecutors ,had no evidence, so they har to extort the false coerced confessions. from the innocent kids. To this day ,that lying pig , cunt, Linda Fairstein, said that those kids were not mistreated, or worked over by the police.

r wood A part of me feels like, I think she did remember some of that rape. She may not recall details, but if any human being goes through a traumatic incident, they are gonna remember some portions, especially if she was fighting back. I think her attorney told her to say she didn’t remember for the jury. She remembered a lot of details of her life prior to the rape: clothing, time from work, meetings at work, etc. I think she remembered it was only one individual (Reyes).

Good observation: my concern is, why after all the evidence that has emerged, she does not even have a comment to make. I am appalled; would you just for the sake of having someone punished allow innocent men to pay for a crime committed against you? She, according to what I have heard, is still holding on to the prosecution's side and this is most unfortunate. No one is asking her to oppose but the least she could do is to comment on some aspect of the case based on all that has transpired after the fact. Her silence is deafening and there appears to be some hidden motive.

Jeremy Falkowski if you watch the confession tapes, at one point Raymond says he was kneeling down feeling the jogger’s breasts. No mud was found on his pants so that wouldn’t make sense. The boys did not have one drop of blood on their clothes even though they claimed to have pulled off Trisha’s shirt before the rape which was completely soaked in blood. That doesn’t make sense. Trisha was dragged into a wooded area and left there but Raymond said that they left her body there on the road where she was struck, which is false. The boys kept calling Antron “Antwon”, so the fact they couldn’t even get his name right shows they had no idea who he was. At the beginning of the confession it’s weird how some of them claim they didn’t know each other and didn’t know last names but conveniently found out each other’s last names the night of the rape. Now the one who ACTUALLY committed this crime was matias Reyes. Don’t you think it’s odd that his name isn’t even mentioned ONCE? And I’m not just talking about Raymond, Antron, korey, and kevin’s tapes. He’s not even mentioned in Other boys tapes that were interviewed (ex: Steve, Clarence, etc). Nobody mentioned that a Walkman was at the scene, which matias had taken from Trisha after he raped her. Nobody mentioned her car keys, which matias claimed to have thrown in a random area which is why the police were unable to get into Trisha’s car. Kevin said at one point the jogger was struck and fell backwards but then said her face was in the ground. Elizabeth tried to trap Steve Lopez by claiming that ALL the boys were stating he was holding her down. Obviously Steve denied this on CAMERA because this wasn’t true. He left the park before the events happened. There’s a reason why he wasn’t even indicted for the rape because there was no way to trap him into confessing that he was at the scene. I really shouldn’t even have to explain all this because at the end of the day, none of the boys dna were found anywhere at the scene which includes fingerprints, semen, and blood. It’s common sense that they were no near Trisha. The boys are claiming that Antron and kevin were raping her so why wasn’t their dna found? It makes no sense. The boys couldn’t even correctly describe what the jogger was wearing. If you use critical thinking you can easily see that none of the confession tapes made any sense or correlate with what actually happened, so it’s easy to see they were making shit up on the spot. If you’re going to call someone stupid, you better have evidence to prove they’re guilty because obviously their confessions aren’t credible at all

ThatBadGuy once again... use common high school education. I also come from a family of lawyers. So I have some knowledge that confessions are commonly false and coerced. The only valid parts of the confessions are when they actually match up with each other AND the facts. In this case, their confessions did not match up with simple facts such as location, clothes, and they didn’t even know each other to begin with.
@danicafyant8516
@danicafyant8516 4 жыл бұрын
ThatBadGuy I did watch all eleven videos. And it is not nonsense that I come from a family of lawyers because I can ask them about the justice system since they are closely involved with it. Whenever I ask about cases, I don’t say the specific case, but I ask a broader question that can be applied to the specific case and others. We also do not not what conversations went on before the taped confessions were made. Yes, their parents are there, but the parents did say that if they confessed they can go home. It can be inferred that this influenced the children and their parents’ willingness to help the police.

ThatBadGuy I have a correction to your statement. It was not a school night. Yes it was on a Wednesday, but they did not have school until the next Monday. It is also very likely that race was a factor in their convictions. You have to understand the time and state of New York in the late 80s and early 90s. Another major factor in their convictions was the magnitude of false and misleading media coverage. I have also taken a psychology class to understand how media can effect perceptions on people, especially in cases like this. I am using my education to make opinions, not a biased website that misleads and misinforms readers.

@@tahirab7859 Because no one wanted to be held accountable for what was thought to be a decision based on race and "the wrongful prosecution of five innocent teens." But let me ask you this and I hope you reply. The cops knew various facts about the location and manner of attack. At the same time, it's been asserted that the police and investigators had them confess to a crime that they had absolutely nothing to do with. So the interrogators went as far as to have them admit to a rape they didn't commit but were unable to coerce out of them the exact location where the rape occurred? What kind of coercive interrogation leaves the confession tape full of statements that do not line up with the facts?
@jf8050
@jf8050 5 жыл бұрын
@@tahirab7859 This is what happened: They did exactly what they said they did to the jogger in the confession. Their DNA was not found because they were unable to have sex with her. After all, they weren't sociopaths like Reyes who had no problem with raping a stranger in the park. The ones who got on top of her, pretended to be hard and having sex with Meili so as not to look weak in front of their friends. Meanwhile, Matias Reyes, high on angel dust and crack was in the park and heard the woman screaming and the scuffle taking place between Trisha Meili and the Central Park Five. He ran over and the Central Park Five got alarmed and took off. After they left, Reyes found a piece of wood and hit her in the head. He then dragged her away to a more secluded place in the park and raped her. He then hit her numerous times with a large rock. He left her for dead and took off. In 2002, a gang in prison threatened to kill Reyes if he didn't confess to being the sole perpetrator of the crime against the jogger. I am absolutely sure this is what happened. It might not fit the narrative you been fed in documentaries, a mini-series or interviews with Oprah. Just please take a moment to consider the above scenario without being prejudice or defensive. The Central Park Five shouldn't be have been convicted of Meili's rape, but should have been charged and found guilty of attempted rape, sexual assault and assault, in addition to the other muggings and assaults they committed that night.

His confession tape along with a couple other boys who weren't charged in the end are on KZbin. I don't know the full details as to why Steve Lopez and the other guys didn't get charged like these boys did. Probably cos they couldn't pin enough on them, they must not have lied well enough to please the police. Although I know out of the 30-40 guys, some went to jail for the attacks unrelated to this jogger and I heard one guy refused to lie about being part of the rape so they had nothing to use against him.

I'm thinking about covering this on my channel now. This is my first time I've ever heard of this ordeal so I'd have to do extensive research beyond this first. I don't see many covering this story. No evidence on them at all... This is just... Wow! I wasn't even a year old yet when this occurred.

Please consider posting the remaining parts of this episode so that there is no confusion or misinterpretation for viewers.

One thing I'm also really curious about now is after the whole truth came out and the jogger knows it wasn't those 5 boys did she speak to them? Did they speak to her? She is still alive right? The link between the two...I don't get why she still testified without remembering anything, I'm all against rape too but hope she somehow also apologized to them, they lives were taken away at such a young age ... I'm just so happy Netflix made this movie because we would have never known just like that, it's now so simple to watch it anywhere and I'm glad they got to voice out what they went through! Seriously them police and Linda with Elizabeth bitch deserves to be punished!!! Im so mad, sad... Being black seriously is about surviving!

We will never know why, but all of this had to happen and God was able to direct this and turn this around as we all know HE can. We may never see it or hear it, but trust and believe, EVERYONE who did wrong, covered up lies, told lies, manipulated, etc. will have to answer for their doings. EVERYONE, Linda, the cops, the jurors, Court Sketch Artist, Judge, the jogger and the list goes on. God sees everything and saw everything. No one can hide from God, and God cannot be mocked or deceived. I know we want justice, but believe me, the only we can possibly do at this time is pray for strength for the boys and pray for those that also influenced and inflicted harm, cause unless they repent and seek forgiveness, they’re already doomed. There’s NOTHING we can possibly do that God won’t do better. And I won’t wish that for anyone. It’s already handled. God bless and have faith. Righteous anger is okay but leave vengeance to the Lord, please and rest in His presence.

Timothy Atkins watch “When they see us” on Netflix. The boys denied any involvement time and time again then the cops started to be aggressive towards them to get them to comply with the cops version of the story. Why some falsely confessed in front of their parents? Because some parents were threatened by cops and the kids were told that if they comply with the false confession they could go home. Both parents and children didn’t know their rights and it was used against them. It’s tough being black in America and unless you’re black you can’t relate.

They are minor atleast they should be accompany by parent or parents. They keep on saying those boys have the right to get a lawyer but they didn't give that right. They keep forcing and putting words into those boys mouth to confess. Just because they didn't do their job properly they find someone to blame? That is not right. We all want justice but find the right person to be punished not just because they are around that area, or they are black or they lack knowledge of justice. Shame on you people who are involved in forcing and pushing this kids to confess something that they didn't do.

Tbf trial by media still occurs today. Nd admittedly, it can be difficult to think independently when the media spins their rhetoric as facts. I’m guilty of this myself and I feel bad for it. For instance, how many people think Lori Vallow is innocent? Imagine if she was?( I don’t think she is btw lol) but what information do we all have asides from what we’ve read or watched online?

These young men admitted what they did, some in front of their parents. How would you feel if your son admitted his participation. In those days, I doubt seamen could be dissected like today, if it were multiple seamen, I doubt that would have been detected in the late 80s, early 90s.

They were guilty! I watched their interviews, each of them pointing at the other that this guy did worse than me; but at the same time admitting they were a participant. I can see why the jury convicted, they admitted their crime against an innocent woman with their parents in the room or refusing an attorney free-of-charge under Miranda.
