I needed to hear this. I called off my engagement but started feeling regret because I didn't want to be without a person in my life. I was lonely in the relationship. He talked to be like a child. He stopped going to church with me and many other things. After hearing this, I know I did the right thing. I will heal and reap what God has for me.

I am going thru a very similar circumstance I to called off my engagement. And as she sensed me becoming a little more distant from her, because of her drinking and how she would act while drinking, she also decided to stop going to church with me. Only GODs Grace keeps me positive and moving forward, even though deep down making the right decision hurts like heck! 🙏🏻

I am 43years old, I have been single for 10 years. After the birth of my child, I went back & forth with my child’s father. He always said he wanted to be with me but I had to change before he could put a label on our relationship or be seen with me. For year, I was his secret relationship. I began to not recognize who I was, I cried, I felt pain. It was emotionally abusive, until one day I decided enough is enough. After my father passed away, he did not support my grief, it was still only about him. This year, he married a woman who lives in South America and barely speaks English. While he continues to date multiple women. His family accepts her, and his “Christian”family refuses to speak to me. His mother is a “minister”and will not interact with me. Our child sees this. I give this to God. I believe I will marry the man God has for me

I was listening to this song when I was on my knees, crying for my mom’s health. I was devastated because she has cancer and wasn’t doing well at all. God talked to me through this praise, and when I opened the Bible, it was Psalms 27. God confirmed that we should just wait on Him. We still need a miracle, but now we have faith and praise while we wait! My mom is a woman who follows our Lord’s words, and I ask you to pray for her health as well. Her name is Maria Juracy and she has a serious Lymphoma.

I think this is the first time I listened to singleness preaching sermon coming from a divorced single pastor which I appreciate it a lot. So often when I listen to this kind of preaching thinking “yeah, it’s easy for you to say because you were married when you were 21, and it’s not that long for you to wait and be patient to meet the love of your life”, haha. Because the reality is most people go through heart breaks, work on themselves, and actually a great faithful person in Jesus but still single for along time.

Have you seen some of the Christian marriages?? Not all but some of these marriages have individuals involved that are immature, selfish or have other character flaws they did not work on before they got married. I don’t know you personally, and although it’s healthy to see where we need to heal and grow, please don’t feel you have to have something wrong with you because the wait has been long. It might just be a case of Gods timing. So sick of the church blaming singles for being single, especially when extended singleness is involved. We have enough of that nonsense already. Marriage and singleness are a gift. We don’t earn it. It’s Gods plan and will for our lives, and in his Sovereignty allows His plan to unfold.

Social media may contribute to what you see from others “having it good” in a relationship and how you feel like your own situation is hopeless. It’s a trick of the enemy so that eventually you will want to give up or just give in and settle for less. Remember this, many women will settle for the sake of being in a relationship; please don’t become that type of woman! Work on you and discover your purpose and I believe God will bring the right man for you into your life!

Too often to much attention and emphasis is on marriage and/or why am I still single/unmarried. Personally, it gets pretty trite especially when you hear it almost every waking moment and from so many born again believers. Matthew 6:33 says, "Seek ye first the kingdom of God and all these things will be added unto you." Paul, in the Bible, said he wish that we were as him (paraphrased); and it's addressed that the unmarried care for the things of the Lord, how to serve Him without distraction. If you don't know how to be single...not just tolerate it...but embrace your singleness and develop what needs to be developed while single, you are not ready to hook up with anyone. Your opinion and value/worth of yourself is distorted; evaluate your worth and establish your identity according to what Father God has said about you in His Word. It is a myth and very damaging to believe that you need someone to complete. It's not Biblically correct. Period. Therefore if you desire marriage, work on being single, being whole and being all that God designed and predestined you to be individually. You're not a half person if you're single. You should be a whole person. Being whole will keep you in the right frame of mind if or as you desire marriage. You will not be consumed by your sincere desire for marriage. Furthermore, don't get obsessed with that desire and pursue it more than a desire to please God. People often say we were created for relationship and not to be alone.Well, I believe our first and primary relationship should be with our Creator, Father God. He's calling us to Him. Once you set that as a priority, everything else should line up, according to God's perfect will and timing. Learn how to appreciate where you are and learn how to wait on God's plan. Don't lean to your own understanding. Being single is not a curse; it's a blessing! Don't rush through it or out of it! Enjoy where God has you at this time. Be content! Amen!
