As a married man for many years, it's pretty liberating not having to slick back my hair, put on cologne or swishy clothes or waste time in shitty clubs anymore. It's just a bar of regular soap, a stick of regular deodorant, regular toothpaste and the same-ass haircut for the last 20 years. I've aged into the man I was meant to me and with a good woman still with me by the grace of God I'm lovin' every minute if it...and we both love Al Bundy 😂😂😂

I feel some connection with this man. I had a life once. Then, when I was 18, everything changed and I got acquainted with the bottom of the pit. Slowly, through a lot of shit, life was recovering, I had children, a job, a place of my own. Then at the age of 30 another breakdown befallen me. At 30 you don't have the same time to get over yourself and rebuild your life. If you have kids, it's even worse, because you drag them down with you. So, to prevent that, I had to send them away with their mother. As they're better off away from me. And that's how you go from a man standing on his pride to an alcoholic bum. Al Bundy is an inspiration to me..

I'm watching MWCh from the beginning. At the end of 3rd season I can't imagine anything better than Al's monologue from episode with librarian (it caused tears in my eyes): "So you think I'm a loser? Just because I have a stinking job that I hate, a family that doesn't respect me, a whole city that curses the day I was born? Well, that may mean loser to you, but let me tell you something. Every morning when I wake up, I know it's not going to get any better until I go back to sleep again. So I get up, have my watered-down Tang and still-frozen Pop Tart, get in my car with no upholstery, no gas, and six more payments to fight traffic just for the privilege of putting cheap shoes on the cloven hooves of people like you. I'll never play football like I thought I would. I'll never know the touch of a beautiful woman. And I'll never again know the joy of driving without a bag on my head. But I'm not a loser. 'Cause, despite it all, me and every other guy who'll never be what he wanted to be are still out there being what we don't want to be forty hours a week for life. And the fact that I haven't put a gun in my mouth, you pudding of a woman, makes me a winner."

Stockings were hung around dad's neck like a tie, along with a note that said "presents or die"... Children were plotting, all night in their beds", while the wife's constant whining was splitting his head... But daddy had money, this year in the bank, then the bank closed up early, now dad's in the tank... All of a sudden, Santa appeared, a sneer on his face, booze in his beard! "Santa" i said, you do so much for others, do something for me... "Bundy" he said, you only sell shoes, your son is a sneak thief, your daughter a flooze... "HO HO" said Santa, should i mention your wife? Hair like an A-bomb, nails like a knife! As he climbed up the chimney, that fat piece of dung, he mooned me two times, even stuck out his tongue I heard him exclaim, as he broke wind with glee, you are *Married with Children*..... and you'll never be free."

He had a line in one show about how women should have a third boob. When his neighbor Steve asked him where he would put it, Al replied: "On her back ... for dancing."

Al Bundy on Mr. Rushmore would be a nice artist rendering, along with the Fonz and Ralph Kramden.

my fav quote: Every morning when I wake up, I know it's not going to get any better until I go back to sleep again. And the fact that I haven't put a gun in my mouth, you pudding of a woman, makes me a winner.

It really is true, though---once you're married (male or female), going out of your way to be attractive is a waste of time....it's not like you have to impress anyone
