This Train layout is one of the coolest one’s I have ever seen.

This is beyond art on all forms and superbly thought out. The sad part is that at some time life will happen and it will have to be removed, sold, scrapped, etc. We’ve all seen it happen. While it exists though the value of it truly belongs to the creator and to we the viewers who are privileged to see it. The Red Stag layout of around 2001, by the now deceased Geoff Knott was sold. Professionally boxed up, then disappeared into someone’s private collection. This is a rarity.

I just wish some of the bigger model railroad clubs would use such detail in their projects. They have the manpower, time and money. Yet they mostly concentrate on track layout and some scenery but not the detail you see on this

the detail! from John Wayne at the station, to the little man climbing the tree to cut it, to the engineer with hands in his pockets as the locomotive pushes the tree logs in the front container, over the bridge...with the cows with happy restful faces in the side lawn next to the old house....WOW.

I rememeber way back in the day, early 80's, my dad built a 4 x 8 foot HO layout for himself, me and my brother as a.christmas gift for the 3 of us to work on together. He had a subscription to Model Railroader starting in 81 or 82, and one of the layouts I remember most from thise early days was Malcom Furlow's Dan Juan Central which this reminds me of. The amount of fine details and scenery skills that these narrow gauge layouts have is unreal. They truly show that like any model railroader will say, is that no railroad layout is ever truly finished. Some of these are about as close as you can get but there is always room for a few more trees or details. I always wanted to see what Malcom could do with a much larger area and using standard guage and newer era models. While he did make a couple slightly larger layouts over the following years, I figured that I would never see a layout with that level of detail only much larger allowing the use of longer mainline trains. That all ended when I saw an article and even recent videos of George Sellios' layout. It is on a completley different level than anything that most likely exists. Not only is it basically huge, it is covered in literally hundreds of scratch build structures that would take even a good builder months to recreate. If you dont know about this layout and you like things like this you need to do a quick search and watch videos about it. You wont believe what you see. Many of these layouts here on youtube, this one included are proof that there are modelers that have rediculous skills that is normal builders can only dream about, and one day I hope to be able to not only see some of these in person, but also be able to be able to add some of these awesome features to my own layout... Well done guys, very well done...

What you are seeing here is the finest and most beautiful model railroad ever built. Nothing world wide mind you, compares with it. This is a work of art. Each scene is an acurate descripion of what life was like near these railroads. What would be reasonably seen within close easment of the tracks and stations. This model railroad is a sculpture. A biopic. Truly stunning in its scope, and breathtaking in its depth of vision. A mind blowing achievement. Congratulations is an understatement. Simply beautiful.

Chain those logs Mr.!!🤣 Great layout! Love the detail. Love the sounds coming from the trains. I could sit and watch this all day. I am currently assembling a 1:12 scale Victorian dollhouse. I am trying to put as much realism in it as possible. I've always had a deep affinity for the small scale world, I've been a collector since the age of 5. The old bubble gum machines had the best gems, I've incorporated some of them into my dollhouse. I even got a dollhouse sized metal train set in it. My neighbor does this type of train sets except his was portable table top. I want to someday help him to set up a permanent sight where we both can enjoy it on a daily basis when we are home, as we are both truck drivers and are on the road most of the time. I would dearly love to come see this in person some day though. Great job!❤

I'm not normally into the electric models that are meant to resemble steam and diesel trains with the sounds and smoke effects and so on but I will admit these are the best electric models of steam/diesel trains I have ever seen, they are so well made they don't look plastic until you get a really close shot at them. The dust and dirt effects are done so well and the rust detail also. Not to mention the absolutely stunning realism of the landscape and buildings. I've seen some good artists but this is unbelievable, I shutter to think how much it would cost to buy a setup like this from an artist of this caliber, the trains alone would cost a bomb.

Fantastic, absolutely fantastic. The lighting, the sounds of Nature, the varying sounds of speed, the landscape, the trees and grasses, the little creek, the cattails, the bridge and river beneath, and on and on. I grew up in Northern Idaho near a train track in a little lumber town called Troy. And I sware I recognized the place... and half the people, including the Peterson's cows. I even remember that crooked log... a devil to cut down at the mill. And was that an old outhouse? I didn't see a crescent moon above the door but I hope it had a good Sears & Sorebutts catalog in it. Thanks so much. The finest I've ever seen. It may belong in the Smithsonian at some point. What love you've shown! Congratulations.

@danielfantino1714 Жыл бұрын
I totally agree with you. Old photos is a good starting point to create those illusions. That you freelance or make a replica. The´ the hard wprk of doing it start. But nobody does modern narrow gauge. In Brazil they have former North American SD40, converted from CC trucks to BB+BB with smaller lower couplers. They are monsters with smaller freight cars. Their purchased new SD45 run on DD trucks. The same like UP DDA40X....and far smaller fuel tank. Modern narrow gauge with Roadrailer, COFC, DPU and cabooseless trains exist. For those freelancers, it can be highly impressive without sticking to the 20"s. After all CN had it in Newfounland. OK, back to that prohibition era.
