I have it booked in July. Can't wait to check it out. First Andaz I'll have stayed at! 🗼

🗼Another great blog! Thanks for doing this review, now I’m considering adding a Hyatt card to my portfolio of hotel cards just to stay at this Andaz property with some status. I live in Okinawa and frequent Tokyo several times a year, now the Andaz is on my bucket list. I was blown away with the Conrad in Osaka and it appears that this Andaz property is even better.

Chase UR points transfer to Hyatt if you have the CSP, CSR, or Ink Preferred cards. Don't really need a Hyatt card unless there's a really good promo.

🗼 Excellent review Past Sebby! I was in Tokyo during Cherry Blossom in 2023. I stayed at the Conrad Tokyo for 3 nights (booked through FHR with free 3rd night) and the Ritz Tokyo where I used 2 of my 85k certs!

Great review Sebby! My favorite property in Tokyo. Wish I had Globalist to enjoy it at its fullest. Looking forward to more trip reports.

🗼+1 on the hotel being pretty solid, but location is a bit less convenient.. Having gone with groups to Japan, I really enjoyed the Mimaru chain of hotel apartments. As for regular hotels, the AC Ginza is pretty nice and gives some great value! Sometimes a hotel having good food could be a negative... taking away stomach space for all the good food in a place like Tokyo! Also, why buy a lint roller if you can just take that one instead 😉

Trying out a few hotels in Ginza is next on the list!

Great video. Im going to Japan in may and your video came up in my recomendations. Just a heads up, the light of Tokyo Tower turned off on purpose for a hour to raise awareness of the climate crisis. The event is named 'Earth Hour".

Dude all these Japan videos are making me wanna go there so badly. Hope I can find 2 first class reward tickets for my gf and i soon 🗼
@grownsimba81208 ай бұрын
I would just look for business class redemptions and plan around that. More plentiful and are able to be booked a bit further out. First class typically ends up being last minute and only about one ticket per flight made available. Not to take first class for granted, but actually getting to Japan and experiencing it is higher on the list of priorities, man.

I enjoy your videos. I will be traveling to Japan - 1st time - and plan on staying at Andaz. You mentioned location may be a factor for 1st timers. I am a 60 year old female - doing a solo trip - Do you think I would benefit at a different Hyatt? I don't mind walking - The Andaz looks awesome and my kind of place. Just thinking about what you said that Andaz is a bit farther from normal tourist attractions. Any advice for me? Mahalo

Andaz is fine if you don't mind walking ~10 min to the subway station. Other more convenient Hyatt hotels would be the Grand Hyatt or they Hyatt Regency, depending on where you want to be.

🗼You're always here yesterday, gone today. Tokyo Tower is the OG, better than Skytree (I used to have an apartment with a view of Skytree, but then it got blocked), but maybe that's because I've been here so long, I predate the existence of Skytree as a Japanese resident. I've stayed only at Hilton properties (the Conrad and the Hilton) when I have to stay in the city over night. I think the view is very nice, but probably not worth messing with my Hilton/Marriott split loyalty.

🗼Really enjoyed this property. Stayed here recently and Hotel Toranomon Hills - newer, but prefer Andaz…overall ambiance was top. Also have globalist status and looks like Seb stayed in the same room. If you’re looking for globalist suite upgrades it’ll be hard to pull off at Andaz.

We currently have hotel toranomon booked with two small kids. Hoping for an upgrade. Which would you recommend for a family?

🗼We will be staying our first three nights in Japan in Tokyo with two small kids. Would you recommend Andaz or hotel toranomon hills? Our last two nights we will be at the Grand.

I would check out Tabelog. 3/3.5 is a good rating on it (haven't eaten at enough places by the Andaz that were great for me to want to recommend anything)
