This is a review of the Bereg UP-2 tent and stove combo. It is in my opinion one of the best hot tent stove combo's available for extreme cold. As a 20 year veteran of hot tent camping in the backwoods of Alaska, and having stayed in and been in many different heated tents using many different stoves during that time, I can say, based on my experience that this is one of the best extreme weather tent stove combos available.
Please follow the below link for more info about the UP-2 tent and the Caminus M stove if interested.

I don’t mean to double comment you but I wanted to say. A few years ago, I knew nothing about bushcraft and the basic nuances of survival. Watching your videos has proved quite fruitful. I’ve even gotten my girlfriend to watch them with me because, according to her, you’re not condescending or depicting a know it all disposition. I’ve learned so many practical use techniques to employ on camping trips and the like. I just wanted to say thanks because your knowledge has empowered me. Thanks again, Lonnie. You’re a true gentleman with integrity (and bushcraft skills) 😎🥂

Yup , best day tent around. Beats a wall tent anyday 👌 I bought mine when I first saw Survival Russia set it up at his homestead. I have the Up-2 tent with 2 large cots , insulated floor and stove. All shipped door to door for $1500 from Siberia Russia. Its 11.5 feet across at bottom. Can't say enough about this 2 liner tent. Comes with so much on the inside. Love it , Love it , Love it 👌👍👍👍👍 can be used as a sauna too 😄

Why is it better than a walled tent? A 10x10 wall tent has a lot of room inside too.
@bryanr.3241

@@richardpearce2186 don't get me wrong , Wall Tents are great , just more expensive , harder to set up , and very heavy. I guess I should rephrase my "opinion" , because if I were younger and lived in Maine or Canada 🇨🇦 , I would have a Wall Tent set up for the entire winter. So I only say its better because of ease of set up. I paid $1500.00 for UP-2 Tent 11.6 feet in diameter , two large cots , insulated floor and stove. Its double lined too.

@Richard Pearce I have owned so many tents that I do not know how many. I currently have probably at least a dozen. I had "Alaska Tent And Tarp" in Anchorage Alaska make me a custom made top of the line traditional canvas wall tent. It was 12 X 14 feet with 4 foot sidewalls, stove jack and sod cloth. It was a heavy grade of canvas. Top quality all the way. I ended up selling it. It weighed 80 pounds for just the tent alone, was difficult and VERY time consuming to set up since I did the set up the traditional way and had to go out each time I set it up to find appropriate spruce poles for the frame before I could erect the tent. A lot of times I was tired and just wanted to get the tent set up and get the stove going ASAP. It required a large stove to keep it warm. I had a barrel stove kit on a 30 gallon barrel for my stove. That stove really was not quite big enough and I should have had a 55 gallon barrel stove for the very cold weather. As I said, I ended up selling it because it just was not very practical for me. I now have both the UP2 as well as the UP5 with insulated floors and appropriate stoves for each. I just had my UP5 out this past week and it sure was comfortable. My UP5 only takes me about 15 minutes to set up by myself and I'm ready to insert the stove and start making the tent warm and comfortable. The UP5 takes me that long because I stake it out first before erecting in order to enable me to erect by myself. The UP2 takes even less time since I do not need to stake it out before erecting. I had the UP2 out last winter at 16 degrees below zero Fahrenheit and Connie and I were very comfortable inside in our shirt sleeves and with out outside clothing. I am sure that the UP5 with the large Caminus stove that i have for it will be just as warm and comfortable in extreme cold though I have only had it out in about 15 degrees above zero so far. So for me personally, I would take these UP series tents over the traditional canvas wall tent any day. The wall tents are definitely tried and proven over generations to be very capable tents. However these UP series tents exceed them in cold weather comfort, ease of set up, as well as weight especially when one considers the size and weight of the stoves needed to comfortably heat each. Wall tents can be made to be more comfortable as someone commented above. One can add tarps to the wall tents to give them a second layer that will improve insulative qualities as well as add insulated flooring such as several layers of tarps etc. The UP series tents already have those additions built in to the existing tent or as an accessory such as in the case of the insulated floor.

Through the years, I've learned so much from you both, that when a product is available that come along, it's well worth the time. This particular system, in my opinion, is one of the most versatile and time saving pieces of kit to come along for some time. I have to admit, the designers of this system covered just about everything. Aside from all the zippers, hooks and other conveniences it has, the camouflage coloring is my favorite aspect of it. I still have my green 12x12 Coleman tent and love it. The last time I used it was about 12 years ago in a Florida campground. I was surrounded by neon colored tents that looked more like a human habiitrail with tunnels going from one bubble to another

I've been watching your videos for a while. As someone who grew up hunting and camping in the woods of Vermont and knows a thing or two about wilderness survival, you are the ultimate survivalist. I even watch your videos on things I already know how to do, simply because you often have discovered a few little tricks I haven't yet. You've taught me so much, I love how careful you are to make sure everything is shown and explained clearly. The review was little off your style, but I enjoyed it a lot. It makes me wish I could afford this awesome tent lol. Keep up the great videos, my friend. A few of your techniques have already helped me stay warm when I lost track of time on a hunting trip and ended up having to camp out for the night. I used the fire reflector design you've shown in your videos to heat a tarp shelter (also designed after one of yours, with a few tweaks), and I was nice and toasty all night.
