After City lost the CL to Chelsea in 2021 (after already losing to Tuchel 2x previous) we had to play Chelsea away, PSG away and LFC away in the course of 7 days. We beat Chelsea lost to PSG and drew at LFC ar the beginning of another title charging season. Horrible schedule but that’s what toughens you up. Trial by fire and Arsenal are going through it now

The biggest trouble about Arsenal playing for a draw, is that we would still be 2 points behind them. Now that isnt a big margin at all, but a side from us...im not sure i see many sides taking points off City (either drawing or getting a win). Liverpool do look really good still, but without Klopp leading them, im not confident they will match them like they have done in previous seasons. Out of the other top sides, maybe the way newcastle and possibly Villa may get a result against them. But they have already beaten Chelsea, Spurs arent looking great. Utd are very hit and miss againest City. Ultimately, Arsenal need to go for a win. I know its early, but it keep things in our hands then. I fear a draw doesnt do us any good in the long run.

“Need to win the game” why? “Need to beat city at least once this year” why? They didn’t beat us once last season and won the league. We could beat city twice and lose to Fulham and West Ham twice, and those wins would have meant nothing. It’s about being consistent all season and being smart. Jose and Fergie would always set up not to lose away from home against their title rivals especially at the start of the season. Look at what La Liga and CL winners Real Madrid did against them last season and even Inter Milan midweek. It’s about getting results. The last team to beat City at the etihad was in November 2022. All these pundits want Arsenal to go for it because when we did 2 seasons ago City with all their quality exposed and us. If they do it again, they’ll all be like Arsenal got smashed, arsenal are naive. The pundits for other teams will be gassing like their teams won, especially these Man Utd fans.
