Bro basketball shoes are very good for volleyball, the jumping and explosive movements are very similar. Main difference is they tend to be a bit more boot-like (high tops, heavier, stiff midsole) but there are also lightweight basketball shoes like curry's

heres the summary: For volleyball shoes, the market is too small for there to be actually a good shoe that fits everyone universally and is perfect for people, also the things required for a volleyball shoe are literally identical to that of a basketball shoe, so there isn't much point in getting a volleyball shoe because they are expensive for the thing you will get. For basketball shoes, the market is like 10 times larger than volleyball shoes, and because the market is larger, shoes are generally cheaper and better quality. Because the market is so much larger, you can get more aesthetic shoes as well, because ima be honest, most volleyball shoes look crap

high tops don't prevent ankle rolling. You'll want to wear an ankle brace if that's an issue for you. It's pretty much just aesthetics. If they did all that much then every basketball shoe would be high top, instead there are tons of low top bball shoes.
