Some important notes from this video -Sometimes the answer is an easier setup, not necessarily better psychology -Anticipatory trades are harder than trades that wait for technical confirmation. -Stop was set above recent 5 minute high after the lows break and bounce for the AMC trade. -Don't let FOMO discern your actions, stick to technical levels for the playbook trade. I enjoyed the multiple charts & Tapes shown for the corresponding trades. This was extremely educational & high value. Thanks SMB!

The problem with anticipation trades, at least in my experience, is that you have to pick tops and bottoms. Often easier said than done when you're trading momentum stocks, SPY or QQQ.

the real challenge is finding a stock in play, getting your timeframes to align, waiting for this setup to complete if you notice this forming and it being one of your easy money trades, then allowing it to break, not fomo'ing in, waiting for the pop into level as a LH and then getting short. I think the best way to use SMB's video is to get a notebook, write the title down, and notes. And then just go down the rabbit hole. I'd put my money where my mouth is that you can seriously build your playbook from just watching these videos. They show the trades that their developing or established traders are taking. You can see what variables they are looking for, what mike or jeff think that they could've done better. Backtest + Forward test it.

Whenever you put on risk, you have an expectation. Call it anticipatory or whatever you would like but you are assuming risk. Tight stops prevent large losses but if the atr is big the trade is a waste of time. Moreover, perhaps a different time frame is more relevant vs a day trade as often the trade takes time to develop and offers a higher expected return. Simple example that is "anticipatory" but works if you understand the macros: buying during recessions when prices are down hard. Hard to lose if you buy the index there....
@gomesdiogo2 жыл бұрын
"buying during recessions when prices are down hard" is a investment strategy, here we are trading, two dif worlds what you said about tight stops etc, Lance made a video about this recently, it is all about risk x reward x probability to enter antecipating you have more reward and/or less risk but a smaller win rate probability, if the idea is to take "easy trades", then wait for the wind on your back and not try to antecipate can be helpful
@KT-zx9jr2 жыл бұрын
@@gomesdiogo What I am talking about is not a day trade as it relates to recessions. A recession does not last 6.5 hours. Come on, go back and study recessions n stock prices. Then consider what I said. You'll understand it much better.

any tip 1. I don’t have plan, when I place my trade I think price will go there I’ll exit, 2. I don’t know or I’m not sure that’s the key point where I should enter because chart looks parabolic making pullback/ flattop I enter without plan hopes it’s not going down I’m to quick to take profit without realizing downside and then suddenly realized I’m down 5cents I cut it , i try to make 1:2 r/r ratio ( risking 5 cents to make 10 cents) 3. Low focus entry / exit - Price dropped im bottom of candle price hit my Stoploss I cut it price may can go back up but I don’t wanna make wrong move It’s like I’m betting more on my win side with realizing downside at the moment How can I improve ?
@Jaysnipes2 жыл бұрын
Sounds like you don't have a solid system that gives you room in the form of "signals" that tell you when to sell or whether you should continue holding. #1 you should always have a plan and when the market goes against that plan. You should only cut the trade when your signal is hit that tells you. "This trade can't be saved get out". But how does that work? If you day trade like I do. You can't just follow price action and say, "Ok it's going up... I think it will continue up. I'll buy here." You need something called M.A's or "Moving Averages". These tell you the strength of the price action you're watching. Something can be moving up but if the strength isn't there you'll be buying in the wrong direction even if you're right for 2 mins into the trade. People always use VWAP, but I prefer a chart set up with moving averages. That's a 5 day / 20 day / 50 day / 180 day and 200 day MA. Look up why those MAs are important. This will better you decision making. Next. There's something called a MACD. It tell you when the trade is going to flip to either side. Going up or down. It changes from red to green and vice versa. It's literally almost a timer when understood (use backtesting) that tells you when the direction a trade you took is about to change. Understand those two things and the rest is history.

Czar thank you very much for speaking about Farm Coin. I appreciate your response and taking the time to comment. I am high on it because of the very small market cap and I looked at two exchanges for the price history. I won’t mention the names of those platforms because I don’t know if I am allowed to do that in the comments. But one of the platforms has the all time high as over 1k and the other one has it a little over 1100 during the last bull run. I don’t know which platform is correct, but either way both of them shows it hit more than 1k at one point. Again with the ATH and the tiny market cap I think the price of this coin during this bull run could be phenomenal. With this additional info can you please comment one more time on this coin? I think it can reach five figures. Is that a crazy point of view to have on this coin?

You're all losing because you're waiting for comfy setups with cute little pullbacks back into the trend. Doing what is uncomfortable, trading very small (half of what you might now consider to be 'small') and not seeking "ease, comfort, and pleasure." is how you win, so long as the back tests are showing good results across many markets and decades of data.

Four charts plus tapes are to much info to display on one screen - especially if you're trying to teach non-experts. I get that your waiting for a recovery to fail but how you identify the entry point from all the other failed recoveries is not at all clear. It is too easy when the two of you are talking to one another to omit the basic info that your youtube audience needs to be able to follow your teaching. A slide listing the key criteria and then walking through the examples with reference to that slide could be very helpful.

I think this video is for beginners, but it seems like this information is for advanced beginners. I wonder if SMB is looking into really trying to explain to the true beginner. Still too complex and I probably can identify myself as a beginner. I am a beginner, and I don't see it. (added) it seems to me most people who left comments understand the video. So, I must be an ultra-beginner. If they understand this video, then they will make money starting Monday ... Retracement Range Break ... reversion trade ... Bollinger bands ... percent run ... acceleration of price/volume ...just what is the definition of a beginner? I wonder if there is an 1800 number, I can call to ask some questions ... for FREE. Not giving away your edge? ... if this video was to give full description of the trade it seems the edge is included in the presentation ... it looks like the trade is looking for a short and looking for a heavy short to begin by seeing the decline with price being bearish. it looks like the trader closed out the trade by taking partial profits on that short on the first green bar. Why is this trade so easy? How will this one video change a struggling trader? What seems to be happening is head nodding that shows there are an iceberg principle of knowledge behind the scenes. I would love to ask questions until I fully get this trade and completely vet it out. SMB capital should make a follow-up video of me asking every question to get me from ultra-beginner to knowing this trade. Ok I just reviewed the beginning, and it seems this is the breakthrough trade for everyone at SMB ... I would love to just tear into this trade with an expert and become aware of why this is a consistently profitable trade so help me God. Is there enough information for me to apply or are there too much missing information for me to use this information? "Easy trade" said head of recruiting and Kyle chuckles ... hmm ... it is so obvious to them.
