I'm liking this Kasparov Anand series. I'm a great fan of both. I went thru this series which used to be covered by newspapers in India at that time. I remember a lot of people in India in those days following the games very closely as Anand was the first Indian player to reach such great heights. Before Anand India was nowhere in the chess map of the world and chess was not in India's map,of sporting priorities, I mean. I'm very happy you are carrying the Anand series.thk you so much.

Great comment, Giri. Wishing you well in the New Year 2022! P.S. was difficult to type your name... spellcheck kept correcting to "Guru"! I thought about not correcting it

You are very welcome dear Giri, thank you very much for watching and I'm glad you liked the video. I can imagine how Anand is a huge name in India, even at the times when I was not interested in chess I heard his name as he was one of the biggest rivals of Kasparov. So he is not just famous in India but in the world trust me. I will also try to do a series for Anand I hope in the near future and I hope it is going to be decent to watch. Thanks again, stay safe and take care.

This channel always improves my chess history. I always immagined previously that Anand wasn't a famous player until the 2010s.

I was at this game. Garry entered the hall with his "out-for-blood" gameface on. As they sat down to start the game, Anand pointed out that the clocks hadn't been reset after game 9. The Director, Carol Jareki, picked up the clock to set them and she dropped the clock! It bounced off the board and hit the floor, and Kasparov burst out laughing for a few seconds, quickly donning his gameface again after the clock was set. After the rook sac, Dzindzichashvili summed up black's position as "slightly hopeless." Great game to catch in person.

Sweet revenge after biting the dust in game 9. Of course, the line was intensely prepared by team Kasparov prior to the game. The rest of the match was a cold shower for Anand, who simply couldn't resurrect. You explained the variations in this open Ruy Lopez very well.

Brilliant chess game. Agreed, no doubt, one of the best chess games I’ve ever seen in chess history. I disagree about the picture of New Yoke City. Not beautiful at all, perhaps it’s a concrete jungle. Thanks for sharing this game.

Yes I also agree what you said about big cities I also prefer calm natural places with trees, like Alaska! Thanks for watching.

Loved this game with your excellent analysis thanks. Kasparov and Anand both have that ability to stun with brilliance. Was Ng5 a novelty at the time?
@historicalchessvideos80173 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure if that was a novelty at that time but definatelya cool tactical shot by Kasparov, thanks for watching, take care.

Kaspstov was bully. He dominated psycologically his opponents. Same he did with carlsen when he was 12..
