My 1969 Seamaster 120 has 19mm lugs and especially during the 1970s it was really hard finding a strap for it. The original beads of rice bracelet fell apart in less than a year. Bund straps were popular then so I could get away with putting it on an 18mm Bund. Sometimes I would trim a 20mm strap with an exacto knife.

As a former owner of a regular Mido Ocean Star I can say that this is one very underrated diver watch, which is not perfect, but great in comparison with other watches at the same price point, specially preowned. And also, as a diver watch enthusiast, I found the decompression complication very interesting and, I would love to have it, for the retail price! Above the retail is a no go for me!

I have the black one and I am now waiting for the delivery of this version and I can't still compare both in metal, but I think the black variant is more stunning and beautiful because colors pop up more on the black background

I had a watch a couple of years back that arrived and it seemed like the bezel was stuck like that. By taking my thumb tip and spinning the bezel as hard as I could, something gave way and it loosened up. There may be some grit in there or it might be cross threaded or something.

Yeah that sure is colourful Oleg. Makes perfect sense too if your going to get into diving (perhaps not to decompression depths though!). The full polish and strange lug width are slightly off putting but at least Mido seem to have addressed the latter by supplying 3 quality straps. I do enjoy different so that hits the target with a bullseye. A buy that will only appreciate in value too, nice one👍

That's a poor excuse for not paying attention to the lume. Why go to the depths of paying so much attention to the dial and make this a 'proper tool watch' but neglect the lume and the usability of the bezel (bad grip)... It's called being sloppy.

Mido seems to target its price level to Oris but given the similar quality that it has with Hamilton and Tissot, the price is difficult to swallow.

Oris aren’t priced at $1250 for the vast majority, quite a bit more. Oris is an amazing brand but this is a cool watch!

I am sorry, but this is one of the ugliest watch you ever had on your channel. Proper kitsch. The only great part about it is that it is a limited edition, thank God! As you're showing, they also cut some obvious corners, poor lume and bad bezel action. You can accept that on a $70 Invicta, not on a $2k one... Mido does many beautiful models, this is on the opposite spectrum.

"Not worth more than $2000,-"; -A diver watch with poor luming, -a bezel that is very hard to turn, -an unaesthetically pleasing date window placing. 3 misses already, not even worth more than a $1000,- to me. 😁, review great though.
