Love the Soler appreciation. YES. he's one of my favorites as well, he can really do everything. Incredibly consistent, can basically teleport to any part of the race at any point if he wants to. In some ways, he's like the Van Aert of UAE except that he doesn't get the same freedom to go for stages, and maybe couldn't pull it off as often as WVA. But in terms of strength, versatility, and going ALL-IN for his leader at 100% strength for the entirety of a GT? They're on the same level for me

My stream of the race buffered for like half a second during that vandenberg crash, it jumped from him leading them through the corner to the UAE guy just ripping it and VDB was nowhere to be seen, I was so confused, I had no idea he crashed.

But what he says about Marc Soler is different. He reserves a very special style of criticisms for Soler. My guess Soler said something about it really is not possible for anyone who never managed to get on a team to start in a Grand Tour until he was 33 years old to then go on to win one at age 41 without using drugs.
