Loved seeing the different crops. As non farmers, when we drive the sideroads, we always wonder what the crops are we are seeing in the fields. @RICDirector2 жыл бұрын
Before you get too 'sickened', realize that if the beef has NEVER had hormones given, it is considered value-added and usually labled as 'ooh, look, none ever'. At the time of slaughter, there ARE NO DETECTABLE RESIDUES of any hormones given. Period. There is no difference in hormonal substances between treated and untreated animals at that point in time. They are indeed 'hormone-free'. If that bothers you so much, tell the suppliers that you want meat labeled as to whether or not it has ever been treated.

Seems to work, at least on lighter soils and being prepared to give it a lot of manure/fertilizers.

Are hormones that you're giving them supposed to bring up their levels back up to normal, physiological levels that they would have with testies? Ore are they entering supraphysiologic levels which would make it unnatural? With studies it is important to know who funded them. You can set up a study to show what you want, or you can interpret the results in a way that fits your goals. Often the raw data is not available to public scrutiny. I'm leaning towards believing it's fine, but we cannot possibly measure all of the ways it could impact human health in a study so we still have to be cautious. 25% reduced feed consumption is a strong argument though, even if there is a health cost hiding somewhere in the noisy data.
