Fun video! I put together a huge SI/sports mag collection back at the beginning of Ebay. Just been sitting in a closet for years and only in the last couple days have I realized how much that side of the memorabilia hobby has exploded with grading and all, CRAZY! Got every big issue and then some, and you might not be intersested in mags, but I have to share with you one you might like. I've got Roberto Clemente's 1st SI cover and when I got it in the mail, I realized the subscription label read "Bing Crosby", who happened to be part owner of the Pirates at the time! I removed a lot of labels, but that one's stayin. Sports Illustrated came out 3 different times and I've got the 1st and 2nd issues from 1936! A prominent collector who has one of the 1st copies knows of only 3 in existence! Thinking about doing a reveal video of them raw, then graded as I get them back, then sending the whole collection over to Heritage. Would be nice to keep the whole collection together

@@Joezeppi1 Yeah, but it's much better than that cuz that Clemente issue is fairly high dollar cuz he's not only a HOFer, the HOF changed their eligibility rules because of him, AND Bing was part owner of the team. Anyhow, awesome collection you got there and what an understanding wife to let you have it in the BR!

This is truly an fantastic collection!! I love the exact same stuff that you do! I got to meet Muhammad Ali and Sugar Ray Leonard back in '82, And '95, and they signed stuff for me! That's the only things that I own, but my younger brother who's 48, is the huge Yankee and MLB collector! I wish you could see his basement, but he's kind of private about it. Maybe sometime he will make a video. One thing he doesn't have is a Babe Ruth autograph! Wow!! Really nice!! I wish I could go into detail, but I'd be here forever. But hopefully I can talk with you more sometime!? We appear to love the exact same kind of items! I also really love the history of the game and Yankees as well, and any item that's really different, like your tennis racket. Really cool! I'll hopefully talk more with you sometime. Hey Dave, what time is your museum open and are you open holidays? This video is long overdue. I will have to go back and watch again as this is the type of room where you are going to miss some things. These are the collections I enjoy seeing most. You’re acquiring items that have a place in building a collection that is a reflection of your love of baseball and boxing history.
