Words can't express what this episode means to me. It shows how Courage is wary of the monsters in the show because he can sense their malice. But this "ugly" man came along and Courage saw his beautiful soul and treated him with love and kindness. It's such an incredible show.

But when Eustace opens the door to find the Hunchback, he pauses for a moment, and begins screaming. On the other hand Courage is terrified of monsters, but isn't scared of the Hunchback.

One of my favorite bits from this show was Eustace trying to come up with different insults to call him ugly, while he (with help from Courage) simply replied that "You are bald". And when Eustace loses his temper and gets sent to the doghouse by Muriel, he tries to protest "But, he called me bald." to which Muriel replied "Eustace...you _are_ bald."

I really loved the Hunchback, he’s been like literally the only nicest friend he met and never actually been afraid of. And he never hurts anyone but wanted to take shelter, even Muriel was okay with him thanks to her very kind heart.
