OK Sheila I am a 58 year-old man who just sat here and watched your video as you were sharing the last four years of your journey and I’m tearing up. I’m so proud of you guys a little bit jealous I’m trying to work on that because as a Christian jealousy should not be in our vocabulary, you guys keep it up you’re doing fantastic. My wife is getting ready to retire from the state of North Carolina. I am retired military Navy man and we are getting ready to see what chapter of life is getting ready to start. We have just put our home on the market And are now looking at motorhomes and RVs not really sure where God‘s leading us but we hope it’s somewhere fun and exciting and I honestly hope that we can bring joy to those around us. As we travel. God bless you both Todd you are the man great skills, bro, if I could only have you guys come and sit in my living room and talk my wife into doing the HDT thing I would be a happy man lol

When I first started driving truck for a living I was about 25, I drove log trucks ever since I was 15 but driving semi was different with the big trailer and all, I pulled into a dock a real busy freight dock and I had to try three times to get it in and the old timers was laughing at me and joking in good spirit but it's still embarrassed me, that weekend I found me a pretty tight dock behind a warehouse and I spent three days there doing nothing but parking and trying different situations that was possible. I was there where nobody could see me and I can make all the mistakes and practice all the theory of backing, doing blind side and all of that,, so glad I did that because it's kept me from maybe causing an accident backing into somebody's truck or just getting laughed at a lot,, just stumbled across your channel God bless you all stay safe stay vigilant but most important stay close and keep having fun,,❤

Awesome rig. Well done. Recommendation is to turn on your 4-way hazard lights when maneuvering in parking lots, RV Parks and any place where there are pedestrians and/or passenger vehicles. The rear of the trailer is surprisingly quiet, so people won't hear you, but they might see you. Good luck!

Another trucker tid bit for Todd: There is no such thing as going too slow for a curve. You can take a curve a million times TOO SLOW, but it only takes ONCE going too fast to mess up your day! Mainly applies for taking on/off ramps, but, I think you get the idea... Nice rig..Looking forward to how you handle the next park, and the backing! Should be a breeze, those big honkers won't get you in a jack knife as quickly as some of those small travel trailers! LOL

As you know Marlo and I “chase” instead of riding together just like you and Todd do. We have been doing it like this for three years. Wow! Todd you amaze me. We are newbies to RV-ing. We first purchased a 25' Tavel trailer and I was having trouble with my backing up. We've been married for 53 years and the trailer was causing us issues. So to save our marriage After only 1 year of owning the trailer I traded it in on a motor home. It's just the two of us and our little dog so I purchased a small 25' motorhome. It was working fine, but found even a short rv has problems finding places to park. So we found a used car for a tow vehicle. Did it solve all our problems no. Still learning about the RV we are into year 2 and still learning. We are both in our 70s and still enjoy hiking,e- bikes, kayaking and SUPing. We enjoy your videos and we hope that the next time you are in our area Washington state we can make to a huddle. God Bless and safe travels. Your new rig and trailer are beautiful. It looks well planned out.

Years ago I was returning to Oakland, CA from Lake Tahoe from a weekend of snow skiing and I got to the long 40 mile down grade coming out of the Sierras kind of like the grapevine in SoCal. Anyway it was about 1am and there weren't many cars on the the road...I was going about 80 mph in the left lane. Then out of nowhere a semi tractor/trailer passed me on the right doing 95 to 100mph! True story! I shared that with a trucker friend of mine from church and he said he must've had an empty trailer because he dropped his load in Tahoe and was heading home!

When you see trucks passing on the big downhills, watch their brake lights. If they keep braking, they are in too high a gear & going too fast for safety. Frequent braking on a downhill means you're doing it wrong. Better to go too slow & stay safe. I learned that lesson when I first started trucking in 1991. 😊
