I dragged my friend (who never heard of them before and has a very different musical taste) into their concert when they were in our city in 2017 (? - I was so surprised by how small and how tickets weren't sold out because I literally found out they were in town just a few days before the concert) and by the end of it she was hyped, crying, and just goes "YOU'VE KNOWN ABOUT THEM SINCE 2009 HOW COME YOU'VE NEVER TOLD ME ABOUT THEM?!"

Taka wrote the lyrics and music for this song in 2012 when he was 24. They used this song for the movie Rurouni Kenshin which starred his very good friend. To date he has written over 100 songs and although now they record in the US and there are lots of collaborations, the earlier music was almost all Taka and considering English is his second language, his lyrics are really inspirational and emotional. The band deserves to get more recognition considering they have been around since 2005.

I am glad you liked one ok rock. I saw them live last January and let me tell you that they are amazing live, really awesome. The vocalist voice is great, and honestly, in my opinion, he sounds better live. (They all sound better live) Rarely missed a note even they perform for hours while constantly on the move, always jumping and running around. I would love to see your reaction for more one ok rock! Btw, in this video which was filmed last 2014, they were around ages 25-26. PS: I love your shirt

Great reaction! I just got into these guys recently too and am so hooked! You could say it was a mighty long fall. ^_~ Taka is an absolutely AMAZING singer-- The guy can sing ANY kind of genre. (Check out his cover of Adele's "Hello" for proof, though be careful of copyright if you decide to react to it.) The rest of the band is incredibly talented too. They're all so energetic, and that energy continues throughout the duration of the concert. This song you just reacted to was the last song of the concert and you can see how they were still performing at 120% even though must be so tired. I'll be seeing them live for the first time in April at Tokyo Dome and I'm so excited! I look forward to seeing more of your reactions to ONE OK ROCK! I've already watched almost all the OOR reaction videos on KZbin so I need more new content, haha. It's fun to see people have the same reaction to OOR's awesomeness as I did when I first saw them.

Looking forward to more One Ok Rock reactions! They had an album "Mighty Long Fall", a song of the same name, and a concert tour of the same name at Yokohama Stadium 2014 - anything from this concert is good. Older songs from Yokohama Arena. Go for English subs where you can find it, cos most of their lyrics are (very) meaningful, emotional or motivational. I rarely watch their MVs cos some MV plots are really crap and distracts you from the song itself. I've been to their concerts 6 times in various Asian countries, including twice in the pit. How to say... we are fans, we love their music, and so when we hear them live, the crowd just goes wild :)

Also, another incredible band from Japan you need to check out at some point is X Japan! Currently, it's probably my favorite band! They're basically the most known metal band from Japan and they have a long story since their beginning in the 80's. Even though my favorite songs from them are "Art of Life" and "Tears", I would recommend you check out first "Rusty Nail" or "Kurenai", since I think you would probably like those more. Anyways yeah, just wanted to comment this lol.
