It does actually upset me that you can literally see how exhausted Sephiroth was about all this before he went insane. Those little moments when someone takes his pic without permission, and he's reminded not only does he have no bodily autonomy as a lab experiment but he has no control over his image too. That paired with the knowledge that as a teenager he just wanted to live a normal life - pretty upsetting picture

@@alexeiharp7676 What's weird is that the FFVII Ultimania (released in 2005 if I remember correctly), it's very, very clearly stated Sephiroth's will was so strong he overcame Jenova and is the one in control and Advent Children itself is all about the resurrection of Sephiroth using Jenova cells (the writers even stated the whole starting point of the movie was the battle between Cloud and Sephiroth and they wrote the rest around it). It's all about Sephiroth. But at the same time, those same writers apparently believe Jenova is still influencing him. So...yeah, guess we'll have to wait for part 3.
